Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Health Initiatives
implemented by Trinity Care Foundation for HAL Helicopter
Complex as given in schedule VII of Companies Act 2013.
Community outreach programs is an important vehicle for reducing the discovery-delivery disconnect by bringing
health education and Health screening services directly to community members. Such programs are consistent with
the priority areas of Trinity Care Foundation initiatives for reducing health disparities.
Outreach programs are important tools for bringing health education and screening services directly to community
members and serve to contribute to reducing health disparities. They assist communities and hospitals to reach
mutually beneficial goals that would otherwise not be achievable for promoting accessible and equitable care.
Many developers of outreach programs are not aware of their audiences’ literacy level as well as the major cultural
norms and boundaries that support or impede community members’ behaviors relating to screening, early
detection and prevention.
Thus, meeting the challenge of a strong health disparities agenda in community outreach requires integration of
culture and literacy in all phases of intervention, communication and programmatic development.
The incidence of medical conditions and resultant fatalities in India is higher than in the West, primarily due to the
non-availability of pervasive affordable quality advanced healthcare solutions for the poorer segments of the
society.
Well aware of this lacuna, Trinity Care Foundation conducted multiple Community Outreach Programs for
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Helicopter Complex for their commitment and obligation towards the society. The
aim of these CSR programs was to redress the imbalance by providing quality advanced healthcare to the deprived
and the underprivileged at their doorsteps.
Community Health Team consisted of Physician, Pediatrician, Cardiologist, Diabetologist, Gynecologist,
Dermatologist, Ophthalmologist, Pharmacists and Dental surgeons who visited rural areas of Bagepalli Taluk,
Chikkaballapura District and provide valuable health service.
Medicines are distributed at free of cost. Cancer Screening and Dental Treatments were provided on Mobile Health
Units. Cataract Surgeries and Spectacles are provided as and when required. Facial Deformities Surgeries are
provided free of cost for the underprivileged.
The Details of the Outreach Health Programs from the year 2012 to 2015 are as;
1. Medical Camp in Madhakavarapalli Village, Bagepalli Taluk - 17th November 2012 - CSR HAL Helicopter
Complex - 353 Individuals attended the Health Check-up Camp.
2. Medical Camp in Somanathapura Village, Bagepalli Taluk - 9th December 2012 - CSR HAL Helicopter
Complex - 607 Individuals attended the Health Check-up Camp.
3. Medical Camp in Yellampalli Village, Bagepalli Taluk - 22nd December 2012 - CSR HAL Helicopter Complex -
909 Individuals attended the Health Check-up Camp. 9 Cataract Surgeries provided free of cost.

4. Medical Camp in Chakavelu Village, Bagepalli Taluk - 12th January 2013 - CSR HAL Helicopter Complex -
5. Medical Camp in Margankunte Village, Bagepalli Taluk - 23rd November 2013 - CSR HAL Helicopter
Complex - 538 Individuals attended the Health Check-up Camp. 12 Cataract Surgeries provided free of
cost.
6. Medical Camp in Somanathapura Village, Bagepalli Taluk - 7th December 2013 - CSR HAL Helicopter
Complex - 830 Individuals attended the Health Check-up Camp. 16 Cataract Surgeries provided free of
cost.
7. Medical Camp in Mittameri Village, Bagepalli Taluk - 19th December 2013 - CSR HAL Helicopter Complex -
8. Medical Camp in Billur Village, Bagepalli Taluk - 19th November 2014 - CSR HAL Helicopter Complex - 974
Individuals attended the Health Check-up Camp. 1 Free Cleft Lip Surgery provided. 33 Cataract Surgeries
provided free of cost.
9. Medical Camp in Kondareddypalli and Madhakavarapalli Villages, Bagepalli Taluk - 6th December 2014 -
CSR HAL Helicopter Complex - 837 Individuals attended the Health Check-up Camp. 27 Cataract Surgeries
provided free of cost.
10. Medical Camp in D Sajjupalli Village, Bagepalli Taluk - 14th March 2015 - CSR HAL Helicopter Complex - 509
Individuals attended the Health Check-up Camp. 18 Cataract Surgeries provided free of cost.
