Start dating, announce it to the world by changing your "relationship status" from
"single to engaged" (to gain attention)

When you break up with a guy friend “Change it to 'widowed'
If you look bad in a photograph, you will
be tagged 'Hahaha'.

To avoid that label, the pressure to look
good on sites goes up tremendously and
vanity becomes the byword.

The most-feared word among girls, not
surprisingly, is "fugly"-a combination of
fat and ugly.

For boys, the in thing now is to flaunt
sixpack abs, if they have it

And a lot of people are posting pictures
taken in a loo-home or a fivestar- in front
of the mirror.

It's a war over personal space in the virtual world

SNAPSHOTS: In an age of attention scarcity, this is the platform for grabbing eyeballs.
Stay on top and update your photos by the hour.

HOW OFTEN:45 minutes a day sounds like a lot? Nah. Two hours is average, with
many checking it out every hour.

FRIEND COUNT: An average user has over 500 friends, reports Facebook. Cool. But
maxing the friends' tally to four digits is cooler.

Study: Young people struggling with greater anxiety than past generations,
Associated Press, January, 2010

•A new study has found that five times as many high school and college
students are dealing with anxiety and other mental health issues as youth
of the same age who were studied in the Great Depression era
90% resist going to school,
70 % are irritable and depressed,
65% face "problems" to which they see no solution and
36% find it difficult to keep pace with their peer group.

"Failure is one word that gives this generation nightmares.
Stress is a manifestation of that attitude”
Success is when people start searching for you

How is your condition?
You can never change the situation/ circumstances;
all you can change is your PERSPECTIVE

Don’t waste your energy in fighting out with situations,
win over them with a positive shift in your view point

Universe is our teacher
The universe is always nudging us with gentle signals

When we ignore it hits us with a hammer
So is life a series of painful disasters?
My life is a series of lessons I
need, happening in perfect
             order

                             Why do bad things always

Causes Stress

          Prolonged Strain

                      Causes Strain

                                 Resistance
Stress is a $10bn industry
Most common reason of we getting stressed is that

all the time we keep thinking that what others are
                thinking about us?

      What’s others’ perspective about us?
Another important reason of stress is
          COMPARISON
WHEN DID YOU FEEL STRESSED THE MOST?
Stress is good, it’s not a bad thing..
                  Stress means pressure.
All we need to learn is to have pleasure in
                          this pressure situation

We don’t have to manage STRESS
                                WE need to manage LIFE
Smoking
                       Drinking too much
                   Overeating or under-eating
Zoning out for hours in front of the TV or computer
Withdrawing from friends, family, and activities
Using pills or drugs to relax
                       Sleeping too much
                         Procrastinating
Filling up every minute of the day to avoid facing problems
Taking out your stress on others (lashing out, angry outbursts,
                        physical violence)
Perspective is all in mind
With over 60-70,000 thoughts per day,
and 95% of them being repetitive in nature,
           mind is like a factory

Editor's Notes

  1. No matter what you are experiencing in life right now, trust that all is unfolding in your best interests and that includes even us being here.  It may not look pretty, but it is exactly what you need to learn for you to grow into the person you have destined to become. Everything occurring in your life has been perfectly orchestrated to inspire your maximal evolution as a human being and bring you into your own true power.
  2. Our discussions with you today may prompt some openings through which you can explore to find some answers, and serve to help you remember what you already know at the core. ‘You already are everything you have always wanted to become.’
  3. Children represents perfection… as kids we were filled with wonder and fully alive to life; infact we were enlightened as kids, meaning with full of light, no shadows, no dark sides, no fear, no anger, no resentment and no limitations….. we are morphed creatures who behave selfishly, fearfully and hurtfully… over the years we have forgotten who we really are. We have forgotten our innocence alongside this journey. One who is in pain can do painful things, one who is hurt can hurt others, only people with closed hearts can hate others.
  4. The whole purpose that we exist is to grow into our greater selves. Life supports us in achieving this if we remain open to live. We are sent with people, events, and trials to discover the possibilities. Often, our lessons don’t come easily. Suffering has always been a vehicle for deep spiritual growth. We may not like the suffering when it visits us, but it serves us so very well; it cracks down the shell that covers our hearts and empties us of the lies we have clung to about who we are, why we are here and how this world functions. Once emptied, we can be refilled with all that is good, noble and true. Troubles can transform, if we choose to allow them to do so. Remember, where we stumble, lies the treasure.
  5. Meditation on the insignificance of problem
  6. e.g Mohandas at South Africa station,e.g. Steve jobs when laid down from Applee.g Michal Jordon when not selected in Std XII Basket ball teame.g Walt Disney when he was dismissed from the schoole.g Edison when he was dismissed from school for asking too many questionse.g NarendraStory of frog for the insignificance of problems
  7. Losers ignore all the warning signs. When the roof falls in, they ask: “Why does everything happens to me?”We are the creatures of habit. We keep doing what we are do until we are forced to change……. MEDITATION on success and failures-Life goes like this.We get hit by little pebbles as a kind of warning. When we ignore the pebbles, we get hit by a brick. Ignore the brick and we get wiped out by a boulder. If we are honest, we can see where we have ignored the warning signs. And then we have the nerve to say” Why me?The only time most of us ever learn anything is when we get hit over the back of the head. Why? – e.g. health. In school when do we finally knuckle down and study? When we are about to failWhen do we usually pray? When our life is falling apart. We learn our biggest lessons when things get rough… when have you made the most important decisions in your life? When you were on your knees-after disasters, after knock backs, when you have kicked in the head.
  8. The answer could be both Yes and No, But it lies in how we perceive it…
  9. Call it a divine plan, call it the natural unfolding of events, it is happening. Like it or hate it, it is happening. Take responsibility or claim you are a victim., fight it or ignore it, its happening. It has been happening all your life.If we are miserable 7 days a week, its likely we have missed a lesson.
  10. Life/ god/universe has a single agenda which is to make us grow. Seed, Egg- chicken, larva se butterfly.
  11. Rubber band activity… exams, deadlines, projects, placements --- body
  12. Stress when we were born… we were made to cry, we were tied in a tight cloth…You stress something which is important, when god stresses a situation in our life, he creates a pressure, not to make us panic but to make us strong. It is only the mishandling which makes our situation miserable. It’s the wrong perception which comes in the way. Lets again understand this with the example of gymnasium- over work out, which is a way of wrong handling of the situation, in the initial days causes more pain and even sometimes discontinuation.
  13. e.g What will you call a guy who goes to a gymnasium with an aim to build his body up and crib about the pain in the muscles? Stupid
  14. Mohd Ali in the boxing ring… I am the champion.. Auto suggestionEventually, it’s all in the mind- in our thoughts60,000 thoughts per day- interestingly 95% of those are the ones you thought day before
  15. Emotions are pure, there are only two types of emotions, good or bad. Its our thoughts which provokes us to act in a particular way when we are feeling good or bad. When our thought is contaminated, we get provoked to do harmful acts which hurts self or society
  16. Lion and sheep story– upasana 5 mirrors… sadhana practice aradhana– horse without lagam
  17. Rishis use to teach us the same
  18. By the time you think over this, let me share with you my thoughts…. In my opinion, we, as humans have one single goal, which is SELF REALIZATION/ SELF MASTERY/ EXCELLENCE
  19. Consider it like this for a moment, if life was a game of soccer and we were to score a goal it’s important for us to know the rules properly. These people knew the rules of the nature, the laws by which our universe is governed, they knew the law of POSTIVE, KARMA, ATTRACTION, SOW AND REAP, ABUNDANCE, GIVING, GRATITUDE, INTEGRITY. Govern your actions by these natural laws to live a significant life of which success will be a byproduct; and remember, even if sometime you fail, it’s there to teach you a lesson.
