4. The Positives of Social
Networking on students
Social networking has increased the rate and
quality of collaboration for students. Which
can increase productivity and help them
learn how to work well in groups.
By spending so much time working with new
technologies ,students develop more
familiarity with computers and other
electronic devices.
The ease and speed with which users can
upload Pictures , videos or stories has resulted
in a greater amount of sharing of creative
works.
5. Negatives of social
Networking on students
Many students rely on the accessibility of
information. That means a reduced focus on
learning and retaining information.
Students who attempt to multi-task, checking
social media sites while studying, show
reduced academic performance.
The more time students spend on social sites,
the less time they spend socializing in person.
Social networking are less able to effectively
communicate in person.
6. Social Networking and
Parenting
Moderating their access to social media is
one excellent method.
Provide ample time for face –to-face social
interaction. Ex. Play games together, family
dinners, and watching movies together.
Paying attention to their academic progress
and addressing any issues will go long way
towards keeping the negative aspects of
social media from influencing their studies.

I interviewed Rochelle Spires. She is 16
years old. She is in the 10th grade.
She is very educated and loves school.
She is very mature and enjoys being able
to give you advice.
I interviewed Rochelle because she is
good in school and she is very into the
social networking life.

Rochelle said she feels that social networking
can be a positive cause into contacting
family, and staying connected with friends
that may have moved away from you.
The negative effect to her about social
networking is cyber bullying , suicide attempts
, and lost of a lot of people lives.
Rochelle also mentioned that Social
Networking is a positive valuable to students
because they can interact and come
together to express ideas
10. Interview
Rochelle said if Social Networking didn't
exist people can focus more on better
things in life.
Rochelle says she doesn't have an issue
focusing with school and still being
connected to Social Networking life.
She feels Social networking should have
their limits and what they provide to us
kids being able to use it.
