Donald Mokgale

Donald Mokgale, former General Manager for Posterscope with 12
years of media and advertising experience. He has a diploma in
Media Studies, specialising in Strategic Advertising and has studied
digital marketing through the Greenwich School of Management in
London, through which he obtained a Digital Accreditation
Certificate. He has been instrumental in setting up the Ghana
Posterscope office as well as rebooting the Posterscope Kenya
business model and in the success of Posterscope SA as well as the
network across sub-Saharan Africa. He currently leads Carat SA
servicing clients like Absa and Heineken.

In my 10+ years in the communications industry I have had the
privilege of working across a number of prestigious brands,
spanning multiple industries. Over the years, I have learnt that the
old adage “The more you learn, the less you know” holds true for
media . It is this reality that drives me everyday to improve and
stretch myself as a media professional.
I have held numerous roles from Business Director to Strategic &
Digital Director but by far the most satisfying role has been my
tenure of Group Account Director at Redstar, working with the
Heineken business.

Almost a decade in the Media and Advertising industry, his
passion for Digital has pushed boundaries and boosted his
career growth in a short space of time. First few years were
spent in SA’s largest Digital Media Sales house where he spent
harnessing his client service and sales abilities whilst
working with Blue Chip companies as part of his portfolio.
Decided to hop over to the Agency side and has never looked
back. Since then he has been responsible for the Agencies
biggest accounts; General Motors, Heineken and Absa working
his way up from Digital Campaign Manager to now Head of
Digital. In between he lived in Ghana for a year to take on a
further challenge of accelerating Digital growth and
performance for clients as Head of Digital and Operations for
iProspect Ghana.He is passionate about people and digital
media and thoroughly enjoys the challenge of acquiring new
business, building client relationships and devising strategic
approaches that address clients' business challenges.

Having worked in the Digital Media Agency Space for the last 7
years and being a 29 year old female, I am passionate about
attribution modelling and the influence which agencies have on the
changing media landscape. I can confidently say the role which
best describes me in an organisation is that of “ Digital Polyfiller”. I
have had the privilege to work on some of the most prestigious
brands and this has ignited my passion for big data, automation
and analytics to drive brands forward and assist in creating Omni-
channel marketing presence in tough economic climates.
Performance marketing has always been my area of specialty, and
my current focus is working to get more brands to understand the
granularity of the data which they have access to in order to shape
their marketing behaviours.

Decided to hop over to the Agency side and has never looked back. Since then he has been responsible for the Agencies biggest accounts; General Motors, Heineken and Absa working his way up from Digital Campaign Manager to now Head of Digital. In between he lived in Ghana for a year to take on a further challenge of accelerating Digital growth and performance for clients as Head of Digital and Operations for iProspect Ghana.He is passionate about people and digital media and thoroughly enjoys the challenge of acquiring new business, building client relationships and devising strategic approaches that address clients' business challenges.

I can confidently say the role which best describes me in an organisation is that of “ Digital Polyfiller”. I have had the privilege to work on some of the most prestigious brands and this has ignited my passion for big data, automation and analytics to drive brands forward and assist in creating Omni- channel marketing presence in tough economic climates. Performance marketing has always been my area of specialty, and my current focus is working to get more brands to understand the granularity of the data which they have access to in order to shape their marketing behaviours.
