This document examines the prevalence of childhood asthma based on social, economic, and environmental factors. It analyzes data on over 30,000 children and finds that males have a higher prevalence of asthma than females. Children aged 6-11 had a higher prevalence than children aged 0-5 or 12-17. Black children had a slightly higher prevalence than white children. Living in an urban area was associated with a higher prevalence of asthma.
