Editor's Notes

  1. Explain these indivdually
  2. Ask the class what could be the trigger for each of these crimes Start to discuss what could make an individual commit these crimes
  3. Divide the students into groups What are the main triggers to why individuals commit crime Drugs Alcohol Personality Money Peer pressure Mental illness
  4. Each new reception is identified within 2 days Files set up gathering details RFI requested Education, Drug agencies, Work, house block, gym this is to get an overall picture of the prisoners needs Probation involvement CPS paper work, previous sentence reports, physiologist reports, etc Assessors interview Face to face interview, sentence report started, progression identified Plan set up This is what the prisoner must do as a result of identifying his needs to rehabilitate him
  5. The offender case supervisor will provide an interface between the offender management team in the community and the intervention team within the prison. This will help make more productive decision about the prisoners future. This will include and courses or programme that the prison will have to attend and the best prison where he can be accommodated.
