I've been in the operating room for a variety of surgical procedures, such as LASIK, varicose vein removal, and angioplasty. I've covered trials, including a murder for hire and armed robbery. And I've covered state and national politicians, including Gov. George Ryan and former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert. My speaking skills have been used for fun, as well as for the greater good.
