During the December 2011 Board meeting, Chairman Betty Burney outlined three overarching goals for 2012.

Superintendent Accountability Define and implement the mechanism for holding the Superintendent accountable for the successful execution of the District ’s strategic plan and increasing student achievement. 2. Transparency of the Duval County School System Increase public awareness of the District ’s successful school offerings (i.e., Accelerated High Schools, Academic Feeder Patterns, Career Academies, Magnet Schools, Neighborhood Schools). 6. The Duval County School Board will define quarterly goals for the school district. The Board has outlined three goals that will be implemented during the first quarter: January-March, 2012. Quarterly Goals
