Roundup and Auction
San Antonio, Texas, resident Dawn Johnson currently
owns and operates DMJ Consulting, a firm dedicated to
helping business executives develop strategies to grow
their businesses. Prior to founding the firm, Dawn
Johnson worked as a marketing executive for United
Services Automobile Association (USAA). Dawn Johnson
held several positions at USAA, including marketing
specialist, chief executive officer and president of the
Alliance Services division, and executive vice president of
marketing. Outside of work, Ms. Johnson donated her
time and resources to organizations like United Way and
the Cancer Council of Reno County.

Roundup and Auction
The Cancer Council of Reno County recently
announced the date for its 2014 Cancer Council
Roundup and Auction. The event takes place on
February 8, 2014, at the Kansas City Fairgrounds in
the Meadowlark Building. An annual event, the
Cancer Council Roundup and Auction features
entertainment, a chuck wagon dinner, and both a
silent and live auction. Proceeds from the event
support the Cancer Council’s mission of educating
the general public and providing support for those
who are diagnosed with the disease.

A nonprofit organization, the Cancer Council of Reno
County provides a number of services to patients
fighting cancer and their families. In addition to
providing educational resources on cancer
prevention and treatment, the Council offers a
limited reimbursement program to assist with
medical expenses, including medical
equipment, medication, and nutritional
supplements. The organization also offers an
equipment loan program to help patients obtain the
medical equipment they need.
