2. Analyze the Learner
General: 11th grade. 22 students, 12 girls, 10 boys. 18 Caucasion, 4 African American. All of the students are
quick learners with everyone having zero disabilities.
Expected: Students should have an idea of what continents some animals are from, and which are more
endangered than others.
3. Main Objective
Students will be able to memorize the most endangered species in the world by what they look
like, their eating habits, & preferable climates to live in, from reading books, watching animal
planet and other videos that will help them, and taking quizzes to test their memory by the end
of the month with 100% accuracy.
4. Day by Day
1. Students will learn the names of and most endangered animals in the world.
2. Watch a 22 minute video on how Gorilla’s are becoming more endangered every single year.
3. Watch whatever show of your choosing on Animal Planet and write a two page essay on
things you have learned.
4. Take a field trip to a local zoo and learn about all the animals there.
5. Each student will choose an animal, and write a three-five page essay on everything about
that animal.
5. Use of Technology
Give students lists of possible shows on Animal Planet that could be of interest for them too
watch.
Make sure to give students the correct information they need when deciding what to write their
essays on.
