7. 7. How does your media product represent particular social groups?
8. 8. Representing Social Groups
From our film opening we wanted to highlight the main character as being a geek named Mary Watkins, who is in love with popular jock Scott Williams.
However, we could have developed these social groups further by using more teenage representations to contrast the social groups present .i.e. including a popular girl or a groups to the background setting.
Also, we believe we should shown a clear contrast in terms of costume worn by the characters to exaggerate the geeky nature of Mary further.
