The internet and digital media have empowered activists and given rise to "the movement of movements," an international inchoate group of individuals who protest against market fundamentalism and the economic determinism of the Washington Consensus. They are active across the globe, involved in myriad struggles for human rights and dignity, and they come together en masse to protest against the WTO, the WEF, and the War on Terror. The end of their story has yet to be written.
