Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, Custom IC Design (2002-2011)
 Group consists of 60 engineers in R&D distributed between Wilsonville and other US
locations, Grenoble, Cairo, and Armenia.
 Responsible for running, reporting, and adding new tests to regression suites for the
following types of applications: design management, netlisting, schematic capture and
simulation, and hardware language modeling.
 Team won the Corporate Quality Improvement award for delivering quality new products
and updates as voted by annual customer satisfaction survey.
 Member of technology team that developed new design management application; provided
interactive and automated testing against requirements and engineering specifications.
 Installed and maintained Revision Control tools from ClioSoft and MatrixOne; testing their
integration with Design Manager; recently tested with Subversion.
 Primary interface to the Analog/Mixed Signal group in France, install and maintain alpha,
beta, and customer releases, reporting integration problems to both teams.
 Managed CICD regression test source in CVS, providing procedural description on the

 Defined quality goals for new waveform view (EZwave) in quality plan; wrote and executed
test plan for EZwave.

2.  Evaluated and recommended automated testing tool SilkTest for the Java-based EZwave
waveform viewer; implemented test suite using SilkTest.

 Wrote and executed the quality and test plans for the release of a new product of dual-
kernel simulator for VHDL with two simulators, one for digital designs and one for mixed-
signal designs.
 Lead effort to reduce customer reported defect backlog by automating reports to
management and engineering which resulted in exceeding the goal by 40%.
 Served as internal secondary auditor for in-house ISO 9001 audit resulting in report of non-
compliance to documented processes.
 Moderated documentation inspections within Mentor Graphics that resulted in a reduced
number of incorrect assumptions, missing information, and errors early in the production
cycle.

 Developed automated regression suite for a graphical user interface that conformed to
divisional standards to support multi-team ease of use; based on Mentor Graphics virtual
device driver and Mentor’s AMPLE language.

 Wrote high-level quality plans followed by a more specific test plans detailing tasks to

 Analyzed and corrected reported problems with the user interface source code which
