Scientific Study Rely on scientific research methods in their attempt to unravel answers to questions such as “why do some people offer help when others don’t?” Use of data and mathematical formula i.e. Average, common numbers, relationship
Behavior and mental Processes Look at these areas as a means of studying topics that psychologists study.  Observable behavior: sitting, standing, voice tone, attitude, affect. Refer to client notes Mental Processes: thoughts feelings and dreams Study different factors- location and behavior in location.(children at day care) more aggressive than at home.
