MAPPING Federal Program Overview Overview NTIA (Dept. of Commerce) program to collect and display data and maps for broadband availability across the U.S. As part of the Broadband Data Improvement Act (BDIA), the State Broadband Data and Development Program will fund projects that document comprehensive and accurate state-level broadband mapping. $140 million in funding to states to collect data, develop maps, & develop broadband plans. Next Steps:Implement Regional Workshops WHAT -- Organize and conduct a regional workshop in each of the 8 Wisconsin Planning Regions WHO – Facilitated by LinkAMERICA together with an appropriate Wisconsin partner organization HOW – Engage Wisconsin broadband planning team to develop successful strategies to gain inclusive participation WHEN – Have venues identified and ready to issue invitations by late July. 41. Next Steps:Draft Regional Plans WHAT -- Create 8 regional broadband development and expanded adoption plans. WHO – LinkAMERICA planning team and a team of volunteers in each region.
