Billion Loan
for SMEs
State Bank of Pakistan has extended loans
of Rs.400 billion to Small and Medium
Enterprises (SMEs) by 2020 through
National Finance Inclusion Strategy (NFIS).
SMEs constitute 95% of the enterprises in
Pakistan, provide jobs to 80% of non-
agricultural labor force, contribute 40% to
GDP and 35% to exports.
The loan facility would enable enterprises
to innovate, upgrade, improve productivity
and play more effective role in economic
development of Pakistan.
Hopefully State Bank of Pakistan would
support private universities of country to
tap their potential.
