2. The united kingdom is a parliamentary
democracy with a constitutional Monarch.
In a monarchy, the king or queen is the
head of state, and a prime minister is the
head of government.
3. One of the most noticeable features of the
Westminster system is strong bipartisanship
assigned to the opposition leader a strong role as
chairman of the Shadow Cabinet, whose
members specialize in opposition to each of the
executive departments.
4. Constitution.
The UK does not have a document that
serves as a constitution fully defined,
The constitution of the United Kingdom thus
consists mostly of a collection of different
written sources, including laws, statutes,
jurisprudences and international treaties.
However, there are limitations to the
adoption of the laws, for example, no
legislature can make laws that can not be
changed in the future.

The United Kingdom´s
monarchy is
consedered the oldest
of all modern
constitutional
monarchies.
Most of the power
once exercised by the
monarch have now
been devolved to
ministers.

work.
A privy council is a body that advises the head of
state of a nation, especially in a monarchy. The
Privy Council was thus originally a committee of
the monarch's closest advisors, who could give
confidential advice on affairs of state.
10. The privy council was formerly the chief source of
executive power in the state, but as the system of
cabinet government developed in the 18th century,
the cabinet took on much of its role.
There are about 500 privy counselors, whose
appointments are for life. The privy council consist of
all members of the cabinet, other senior politicians,
judges and some individuals from the Commonwealth.
Only members of the government of the day play any
part in its policy work. The prime minister
recommends new members of the Privy Council to the
sovereign.

Royal family.
Born in london on april 21 , 1926 (the great-great-granddaughter
of queen Victoria who government
almost 64 years, 1837-1901), Elizabeth became
Queen at the age of 25, on the death of her father,
King George VI. She is the 40th monarch since
William the Conquerer.
