More bicycles = Fewer accidents
It was shown an increase in the use of bicycles reduces the risk of
accidents. A study in Salzburg between 1992 and 2004 showed that while
the percentage of bicycle traffic increased by 40 % the number of injured
persons per bike kilometre decreased by about 40%.
