  3. 5 min - Number one mistake People think that Online marketing is easy - FB, You Tube, Twitter Forget - goals, target audience, plan, measure, like OTHER marketing tactic. It’s the same marketing - WE USE DIF. tools! End up doing >>>little bit of everything<<<, without any strategy behind it and without aligning their online marketing initiatives with their offline marketing Easy to get lost. So MANY TOOLS. You don’t HAVE to be on Twitte. easy Need to measure your success if you want to get something out of your time spent on T… I bet it’s a lot of time too … :) blogging or not blogging?- if you don't have a CLEAR VISION of where you are going you will just get lost in all the tools. 1) Review your goals (sales? traffic? visibility?) 2) Analyze your target audience And only after that MAKE decision on what tools and mediums to use for YOUR business. >>>>I know NO one likes writing business or marketing plans …. But unfortunately there are no shortcuts here … >>>>>> It doesn’t make sense to increase the speed if you don’t know WHERE you are going <<<<<<<<< 4) Make a plan of attack 5) Act Don't get distracted by the NEW trends too much. Once you pick your 3 top tools, stick with them for a while to know weather they are working for you or not. Don't jump from one to another because in the end you won't know which tool is right for you. 6) Measure 7) Start all over again
  4. 1 min You have to tailor your marketing tactics to your needs and you need to know what’s going on OFFLINE and ONLINE ….. Stay in tune with the current internet marketing trends and see what your OFFLINE and ONLINE competition is doing Especially if your business is an online based business, see who is coming up in top 5 results in Google and analyze what they are doing. >>>>>You might be surprised that your Offline competition sometimes is different from Online <<<
  5. 2 min Track your sites statistics Again look at your goals and then go into your tools and see if you are reaching your goals as projected (hopefully you DO have projections in place :) --- If you DON’T then ----- the TIME is now, and NOW is the time! :) Social media - very tricky one to measure … Use Analytcis to see if you are driving traffic use Twitter tools to measure yout T success rate EXAMPLE : ==== tools:- you have been purchasing an add in a popular local news website. it's a great source of traffic you think .... because it's a popular site and it has lots of visitors ... Ask yourself - what is your main goal for being on that website? Is it exposure or is it sales? If it's exposure and brand recognition then it's fine, but if you are more interested in sales at this stage of your business then you have to know how many VISITS you had from that site and how many CONVERSIONS you got from this source. Take a GOOD chunk of time to monitor what you are doing so your numbers are correct. - ECOMMERCE ???? Very often your shopping cart providor will allow you to add your google analytics code to track your conversions. It;’s free take advantage of it! >>>>IF YOUR DON’t measure it, you can’t improve it<<<<<
  6. 1 min Now, that you know the most common mistakes, how do you stay on track? Someone wise once said:”Do not solve your problems, dissolve your problems, so they do not recur again” :)
