Do you think Cambridgeshire can become more energy self- sufficient and attract
up to £6billion of investment in local energy generation?

The CRIF Project is pleased to invite you to the Smartlife Centre, at Cambridge Regional
College, Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge 5-7pm on Tuesday 15th November 2011 to find
out how Cambridgeshire can become more self sufficient with its energy, create local jobs
and boost the local economy?

The Cambridgeshire Renewables Infrastructure Framework (CRIF) Project has spent nine
months building up the evidence base for what levels of energy we will need in the future
in Cambridgeshire to sustain and grow our businesses, manage rising fuel costs and
secure local energy supplies to build energy resilience, self sufficiency and local jobs.

The CRIF project will share at the event three delivery pathways for Cambridgeshire.
   - A Community Pathway focused on how communities can develop successful
energy schemes and bring financial and energy benefits to their community
   - A Public Sector Pathway which helps communities to become more energy resilient
and which uses its public assets to help develop and invest in energy projects to
secure local energy supply and a Cambridgeshire low carbon economy
   - A Commercial pathway which supports the creation of green jobs locally, helps
grow the Clean Tech Sector and which attracts the investment into energy
       generation schemes locally.
   -
This is your opportunity to discuss with the experts their findings and put forward your
ideas and suggestions.

Please reserve this date in your diary and email amy.jones@cambridgeshire.gov.uk or
telephone 01223 715942 if you will be attending.

Yours sincerely

Sheryl French
On behalf of the CRIF Project

This project is being developed as part of the
Climate Change Skills Fund. The fund is

CRIF Final Event Flyer 15th Nov

  • 1. Do you think Cambridgeshire can become more energy self- sufficient and attract up to £6billion of investment in local energy generation? The CRIF Project is pleased to invite you to the Smartlife Centre, at Cambridge Regional College, Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge 5-7pm on Tuesday 15th November 2011 to find out how Cambridgeshire can become more self sufficient with its energy, create local jobs and boost the local economy? The Cambridgeshire Renewables Infrastructure Framework (CRIF) Project has spent nine months building up the evidence base for what levels of energy we will need in the future in Cambridgeshire to sustain and grow our businesses, manage rising fuel costs and secure local energy supplies to build energy resilience, self sufficiency and local jobs. The CRIF project will share at the event three delivery pathways for Cambridgeshire. - A Community Pathway focused on how communities can develop successful energy schemes and bring financial and energy benefits to their community - A Public Sector Pathway which helps communities to become more energy resilient and which uses its public assets to help develop and invest in energy projects to secure local energy supply and a Cambridgeshire low carbon economy - A Commercial pathway which supports the creation of green jobs locally, helps grow the Clean Tech Sector and which attracts the investment into energy generation schemes locally. - This is your opportunity to discuss with the experts their findings and put forward your ideas and suggestions. Please reserve this date in your diary and email amy.jones@cambridgeshire.gov.uk or telephone 01223 715942 if you will be attending. Yours sincerely Sheryl French On behalf of the CRIF Project Directions overleaf This project is being developed as part of the Climate Change Skills Fund. The fund is managed by Sustainability East on behalf of Improvement East.
