Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place
As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a
good impression. I have a place that not only made a good impression, it changed me. It made me
think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought
all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The
Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. Waking up early in the morning and
driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities. The Oregon coast is such a
broad place to describe, but in reality, all the towns have the same feel but different atmosphere.
Pacific City is small and quiet with a great...show more content...
Its cold, windy, and sunny all at the same time. The beach stretches for miles seeming endless,
until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against it. The sun shines down on the moisture in
the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock
formations stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot
the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your toes is and not a worry in your mind
is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide
takes place and you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the
beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and balconies on every place to
capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a
magical place. It transports you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it.
You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible to be in a gloomy
mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many
opportunities to try to experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting
s'mores with family and friends, or trying weird sea creature at a restaurant. The Oregon Coast will
always hold a spot near to my heart. I can't wait for

Descriptive Essay About Happiness
The wind is ripping at our hair, both of us are panting to get some air into our lungs and
throughout our bodies. The strain is almost too much to bear, but we finally make it. We reached
the top of the hill and I won against my friend in our bike race through the city. Feeling like I might
suffocate and fall off my bike may not seem like something that can make me happy, but if it's with
my best friend, anything can make me happy. Happiness to me is being able to have fun and enjoy
small and big moments with the people you love. It should come easily without having to put much
effort into achieving it. Happiness should not be something I must chase, but it should float onto my
lap while I'm sitting with my feet kicked up. The greatest example of being filled with happiness
would be the day I rode through the cities with my most beloved friend.
This happiness filled drive through the cities started in the car. On a warm June morning, Sabrina
picked me up from my house and we set off on the road. I made a special playlist to dance and
sing our lungs out the full hour and a half drive up to the twin cities. We had not seen each other
for quite some time so this drive was especially important to catch up on our lives and some juicy
gossip. This is one of my favorite things to do with Sabrina because even when all we do is sit and
do nothing, I find that I enjoy myself to the fullest extent. Sitting there listening to my friend talk
about how annoying a classmate is, or how she tried a new food just puts a smile on my face.
Singing until we're out of breath and taking the time to listen to all the events in our lives is one of
the things I loved to do and I valued all the things we shared with one another.
We then began to transition our car ride into a bike ride. Before arriving at Fort Snelling to start
biking, we decided to stop by Caribou Coffee for a quick snack. We drove right past Caribou Coffee
for two to three miles before we realized the GPS was screaming at us to make a U–turn. Eventually,
Sabrina and I got our coffees and sat down to talk about where we'd like to bike. We decided upon
following the trails by Fort Snelling to Minnehaha Falls. After downing our drinks, and driving to

Descriptive Essay About Animals
JADE My entire life I've always held a special place in my heart for animals. There's just
something about them that makes my usual cold stone exterior melt. Through the course of my life
I've owned several different kinds of pets, majority of which were given away. After owning all
these animals I can say without a doubt I am definitively a cat person. Each time I've lost an animal
it hurt considerably but none of which hurt as much as when I had to give up my cat Jade.
Adopting Jade was a very pivotal point in my life. I had been begging for a pet for months, I'm
talking on my knees pleading with tears in my eyes. I was looking for something to fill the
domestic animal sized void in my heart that was made when they gave my dog Pierce away
because he was "too high maintenance". I was also just thinking about how great it had been
owning our first cat Boots who they gave away because he wasn't very nice to any member of our
family but me. Finally I wore my aunt down enough to where she agreed to take me to the animal
shelter to "look and see". I had never been in an animal shelter before so I had no idea what to
expect when we arrived. It was a reasonably sized building, kind of reminding of a daycare center
for little kids. Literally every dog in the building started barking when we walked in and honestly it
broke my heart that so many of them were without homes. One of the people who worked there
showed us to the first room on our right, one of the rooms

We all know college is hard; if it were easy, everyone would have a degree and no one would ever
ask for help. But here at Crafton Hills College, tutors are available to help out students in any way,
so that those who struggle can do well and be successful. These mentors don't just lecture, they take
the time to make sure students understand and comprehend what is being taught. Tutors are at hand
for a variety of subjects, some have appointments for one on one time and others are for use at one's
convenience. The best part is, students don't have to search for a tutor, or post flyers saying "HELP

Besides the Tutoring Center, the library is also very resourceful and entirely useful. It's filled
with computers, private rooms, a small auditorium, a copy room and thousands of books (which
are found on the top floor of the LRC). Writing tutors will encourage students to visit the library,
especially when it comes to research papers. Now, continuing on to the Tutoring Center, a few
more steps and you have reached a set of stairs that lead downward. Down these twenty or so
steps is the Tutoring Center. After reaching the bottom, there is a small doorway to the left and a
sign that says "Welcome to the Tutoring Center!", as a confirmation that one is indeed in the
right place. The Tutoring Center is a large rectangle shaped room, with small separate glass
enclosed rooms around the edges. The rooms on the left and right are offices of some professors
an instructors, while the back wall has some small rooms for study groups and private tutoring
lessons, with one very large room painted bright yellow. A front desk is located to the immediate
right once entered. Here is where anyone can receive information about the Tutoring Center and
view waiting lists for certain subject tutors; flyers and booklets are also free to take. The center of
the room has two long tables with twenty computers on both sides for student use, and on each side
of those tables are four small square tables with four chairs each for groups or alone work. These

In fact, nature appears in its best form. It provides us with all kinds of pleasure.
Other things that I also love about spring are those smells that are widespread in nature. The air is
fresh and full of pleasant aromas of different flowers. When I am walking in the fields or any other
place during spring time, my noses catch a mixture of smells that really increases my strong love for
nature.
I will now say I am absolutely calm when I am listening, feeling, smelling, and looking at the spring
around me. Spring is my favourite season, and nature when it is spring is relaxing and comfortable.
The earth wears a green dress. Again it comes to life.

Descriptive Essay About My Village
Wherever I am, I find it hard to resist the tempting call of my hometown. My hometown is a small
village located in Shandong province. There are about two thousand people in the village. Small as
it is, it's a very beautiful place and has its own folk culture. The weather is warm in winter and cool
in summer. It's a good place for tourism.
The most attractions in the village are the river around my hometown and the green hills opposite
the river. On the hills there are large tea plantations and fruit trees. The river, in which there are all
kinds of big and smooth cobbles, flows gurgling in four seasons, with groups of fish and shrimps
playing in the water. When spring was coming, the fields look like a green carpet, and the
willows by the river are putting forth a lot of tender branches. With breeze blowing, the long thin
branches gently brush the cool and refreshing water; there are groups of ducks having fun in the
river. Spring is also a season of sowing. When the parents are working in the field, the child are
playing all kinds of games near the river, such as swing, eagle catches chicken, seesaw and so on.
Summer follows spring. The children sit on the large stones in the river, where they pat the water
and make splashes. The sound of water, and the noise of the children's chatting and laughing are
mixed together. The birds in the woods are unwilling to be lonely, singing and dancing with joy. The
old people sat under the big trees talking about their life

things from my home forces me to distill my priorities and interests. I have to figure out what my

Descriptive Essay About Animals
Animals are my favorite things in the world! Me and my family had an amazing trip to Wild
Wonders, where I saw and pet so many adorable animals that live there. My family includes my
mom, my dad, my brothers Jackson and Gavin, and my cousins, Kyra and Lily. We went to wild
wonders on a hot and sunny day. The sky was clear baby blue, dotted with the occasional fluffy
white cloud. Wild Wonders is in Bonsall, California. I grew a lot from that trip, and I learned a
valuable lesson. In the beginning, I drive for quite a while. The wind is whipping my long blonde
hair around in my face, and my brown eyes are twinkling with excitement. I look out my window
at the constantly changing landscape. One minute I see a large grove of short and stubby avocado
trees growing off the side of a mountain, the next minute I see red brick houses and tall buildings
stretching on and on in the sea I call a city. "Wow, Wyatt, I'm so excited! I cannot wait to get there."
I hear my cousin's voice and I turn around and see her smiling face. She looks almost exactly like
me, but with way more freckles and she has a girl's facial structure. "Yeah. I'm also really excited,
Lily," I agree. "I can't believe we waited for so long and it's finally here." While me and Lily talk
about what animals we think are going to be there, Jackson, Gavin, and Kyra all play the cheesy car
games "Would You Rather" and "Truth or Dare" and "I Spy". Lily is 10, I'm 11, Jackson and Kyra
are 13 and 14, and Gavins 15. We

Descriptive Essay About My Mother
No matter how hard life gets for me and how chaotic things can become there has always been one

if you try. My mother is strong–willed and stubborn; when she sets her mind to something almost
nothing will stop her and what an impossible feat it is to change her mind on something. She is
very impatient; when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later.
She is idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would
love nothing more than to be living in a cabin in the mountains while listening to country music.
She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on
what's happening in her immediate area. From my mother I have learned how to be the person that

opportunity to. Form her I have learned compassion for those around me and for animals. Even

Descriptive Essay : My Dream
In my dream, I am in a small boat in rough waters. It is a dark night, with a full moon, dark clouds
filling the horizon. I am sitting in a small wooden boat in the ocean or large lake. I cannot see
land in any direction. The waters are rough, with large waves rocking the boat. The waves are so
rough they are causing water is spray into my face. I am afraid that the boat will tip over and I
will drown. I hold on to the sides with both hands. Suddenly up ahead I can see large rocks in the
water, large waves crashing against the dark gray slick sides. My boat is going to hit them.
Suddenly I am traveling between the rocks standing stark and cold on both sides. My small boat
travels between several of them and into a rushing river. I am full of dread, I will certainly sink
and drown. I travel down the rushing river. There are high, dark cliffs on both sides. In the
distance I can see the cliffs ending and the river disappearing out of my sight. As I travel closer and
closer I can hear the sounds of a waterfall. I travel down the river, between the cliffs and over a large
waterfall. I fall from a great height, walking up in my bed, still filling as though I will drown.
Working With The Dream A small boat in rough water feels like I am out of control. Control is an
allusion. It is dark and I do not know where I am or where I am going. I am in a small boat alone
like life that is sometimes solitary and must be traveled alone. Life can sometimes feel rough

Descriptive Essay Trip
One of the greatest ways to learn about the world around us is to take a trip to visit new places.
This past summer, I flew from my home in Florida to take a road trip with my aunt from Roanoke,
Virginia. We went to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was an amazing experience to be able to visit the
place where my family originated.
Our trip started in Roanoke where my aunt and I made our way to Canada driving through the
night. Unfortunately, since it was dark, I was unable to see anything. I did, however, get to have
time to talk with my aunt and get to know her a little better. After a long eleven hour drive, we
finally made it to our Canadian destination. After resting a few hours at another aunt's house in
Milton, I was ready to become tourist for a few days. My first stop was Niagara Falls just north of
the Canadian border.
Niagara Falls is the largest waterfall by volume in North America; and is one of the largest tourist
attractions. Even though it was extremely crowded making viewing difficult; the experience was
worth the inconvenience. I was able to walk around and see some of the area surrounding the
falls. The town of Niagara has great places to shop, as well as, wonderful restaurants. I enjoyed
spending time with both of my aunts and one uncle. On the way back to my aunt's house we
stopped off at my favorite restaurant, Swiss Chalet. This franchise is only in Canada, which makes
it a must stop place for my family and I to eat. In my opinion, their chicken and

It was a seemingly beautiful day as I drove on a joy ride in my bright blue sports car, with the
wind in my hair. This is an everyday activity for me. My friends would mock me saying, "You
spend more money on gas than you make working." I laughed to myself at the thought of jokes
amongst my friends. That happiness was soon halted. As I continued driving, I saw a car coming
rapidly around the curve. The car did not show any signs of slowing down as it headed towards the
intersection. The light turned yellow and then quickly red. Another object caught my eye that made
me fear what was going to happen next. A young couple started crossing the street wearing fancy
attire. The first thought that came to mind was, 'they are...show more content...
One of the police officers came up to me introduced himself, asked me my name and started, "Have
you ever seen this driver before? On the road or around town?" I quickly responded, "No, I have not
officer." He continued, "I learned from the call back to the station that the driver, David Chrisenger,
is considered the town drunk and does not currently have a valid license due to drinking and
driving". He asked me some questions and asked me to fill out an incident report. Still shaken up by
the whole incident I gladly accepted. The officer ended our conversation. "Thank you so much for
your time, Kevin. We really appreciate it."
The only thought running through my head on my way home was how much I had not
appreciated my wife and children. To witness something of that nature makes one conscientious
about what you have and how quickly it could vanish. I vowed after that day to speak out against
drinking and driving and the terrible outcomes that can transpire from something that some do
not view as a "big deal". It is apparent that better ways have to be found for getting drunk drivers off
the road. I encourage anyone to be responsible for their lives and others by agreeing to never drink
and drive again, and to also aid your family and friends in doing so. Have a designated driver each
night or call a cab. Everyone is capable of saving a

Campus Descriptive Essay
West Virginia University has hands down the most gorgeous campus I have ever seen. Every
morning I would wake up knowing that I have the privilege of attending a good school with a
breathtakingly beautiful campus. I was gradually awoken by the warm rays of sunlight filtering
into my room like a gentle wake up call. I got up to look out the window and I saw my fellow
classmates walking to class and going about their days. Stretching and yawning I prepare myself for
the day. I cannot help but to think that today is going to be a good day. As I stepped outside for the
first time I felt the cool breeze gently blowing between the buildings, giving everyone it touches a
breath of fresh air. Strolling through campus, I stopped for a minute to admire how the sun was
shining down on like a spotlight on all the beautiful blue and gold flowers. The landscapers
worked hard planting the flowers of the most royal of blues and the perfect shade of golden
yellow. Walking further down the hill I saw the familiar "flying dub v" on every passing persons
clothing. Most of my classmates were in a rush to get to class, but I took my time just absorbing
my surroundings. A strong breeze carried the scent of freshly cut grass to my nose and embraced
me as I continued my journey to class. Passing several students on my way, nodding my head in
acknowledgement, a few familiar faces make eye contact and smile. The weather that day was

Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic

Descriptive Essay About Spring
Spring is such a wonderful and joyful season. The air begins to warm, and the temperature rises
slowly. Not only that, but the days seem to be getting longer as well. As the snow begins to melt in
northern America, the lovely flowers begin to bud and the flies begin to come out. The tree buds
starts greening and preparing itself to grow. The air smells different as opposed to winter, it smells
fresh and alive. Spring wraps up winter, and leads on to the hot and humid season called summer.
Spring is the season that prepares itself for the next season, as forestry is starting to grow and
thrive. The animal kingdom also uses spring to mate. The bears that were hibernating no longer have
to hibernate. The smell of freshly cut grass also goes through the warm spring air.
The grouchy people of winter also start to become happy again. Most people dislike winter as it
cold and the driving condition are not great. However in spring, everything is having life, or
coming back to life; as well as their spirits. Spring is finally the time where people can finally eat
outside, open up the window to let fresh air in. Nothing is better than seeing the neon green trees
and grass shining through the low amounts of snow that might still be left behind by Mother Nature.
The farming trade also begins in spring; the farmers begin to plant their vegetables so they can
harvest them when the time is right. Spring also has a very nice holiday, Easter. Families gather at

Descriptive Essay About My Journey
My journey the day I left my home country in search of a better life was not as pleasurable or
exciting as I expected. Although it was not a long flight, the accumulation of unexpected vicissitudes
during the trip made my dream of traveling an absolute nightmare. Not only my sadness to be
leaving my family behind, the uncertainty to fly alone and for the first time, or my inexperience with
the procedures at the airport contributed to this calamity, but even my neighbor on the plane added
his bit of sand in the affair. All this situation was such traumatic to me that I even considered never

The nightmare began long before I even set foot on the plane. To start, I was traveling from the

shame for being the center of attention at that moment. Once the clutter of the corrupt employee

me to receive assistance, since the only two clerks available at the time for that function had a lively
talk and did not appear to be in any hurry to attend the line of impatient travelers. Finally, my turn
came! The young woman took my documentation with such slow movements that her arms gave the
impression of having five–pound weights attached to each hand, and then she asked me to put my
luggage on a digital scale to my side. I did not have much in my suitcase, only clothes for a week,
a couple of family photos, and a small, fluffy, pink bag with my makeup, body lotions, and my
favorite perfume that smelled like the ocean in Hawaii impregnated with the exotic fragrance of the
Plumerias. Since everything was in order with the weight, they tagged my luggage and put it on the
baggage belt while my eyes followed it until it disappeared behind the curtains.
Throughout the check–in process, I tried to show myself steady and calm; I did not want my
relatives there to perceive the pain and sadness reflected in my face for leaving them behind. When

Three Descriptive Research Methods Essay
One of of three methods used for descriptive research is the case study. The case study method is
the oldest form of research used in psychology today. To help you better understand what case
studies are I would recommend you think of an individual person case. Case study is when
someone studies one person to explain things that happen for all of us. Basically applying the
outcome to all people ; one representing all. Case studies will describe your behavior. In present
day we have noticed that although the individual cases may be accurate, it only applies to that one
person. There will always be a conflict of interest because what may happen to one person does not
necessarily happen to the next. For example you may say that after...show more content...
This type of research gathers information from a large group of people. It will be not go into depth
as much as the case study might and involves many cases. As an example think of making you own
survey and distributing it out to various amounts of people, gathering the information and
conducting you hypothesis. We are constantly asked to participate in surveys whether its an
internet advertisement or a class handout from the college you attend. When asking you question
you have to be careful as to how you word the question. The words you choose may influence a
participant to lean toward a certain side. You may sound biased toward one issue which will effect
you survey and hypothesis. Using random sampling allows researcher to have a fair representation
of the subjects under study. Every person has an equal chance of participating. I would use this
method with very larger groups of people. Ex. school. The last from of research would be naturalistic
observation. Basically watching and recording the behavior of different subjects in the natural
environment.Much of the reality shows today could be considered a form of naturalistic observation.
Pending on how much the program actually interferes with the subject , they allow for an interesting
hypothesis. This research will describe the behavior of an subject. Now that we have the information
from the research we can evaluate the differences and similarities. When the research reveals that one

  • 1. Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a good impression. I have a place that not only made a good impression, it changed me. It made me think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. Waking up early in the morning and driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities. The Oregon coast is such a broad place to describe, but in reality, all the towns have the same feel but different atmosphere. Pacific City is small and quiet with a great...show more content... Its cold, windy, and sunny all at the same time. The beach stretches for miles seeming endless, until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against it. The sun shines down on the moisture in the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock formations stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your toes is and not a worry in your mind is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide takes place and you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and balconies on every place to capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a magical place. It transports you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it. You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible to be in a gloomy mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many opportunities to try to experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting s'mores with family and friends, or trying weird sea creature at a restaurant. The Oregon Coast will always hold a spot near to my heart. • 2. Descriptive Essay About Happiness The wind is ripping at our hair, both of us are panting to get some air into our lungs and throughout our bodies. The strain is almost too much to bear, but we finally make it. We reached the top of the hill and I won against my friend in our bike race through the city. Feeling like I might suffocate and fall off my bike may not seem like something that can make me happy, but if it's with my best friend, anything can make me happy. Happiness to me is being able to have fun and enjoy small and big moments with the people you love. It should come easily without having to put much effort into achieving it. Happiness should not be something I must chase, but it should float onto my lap while I'm sitting with my feet kicked up. The greatest example of being filled with happiness would be the day I rode through the cities with my most beloved friend. This happiness filled drive through the cities started in the car. On a warm June morning, Sabrina picked me up from my house and we set off on the road. I made a special playlist to dance and sing our lungs out the full hour and a half drive up to the twin cities. We had not seen each other for quite some time so this drive was especially important to catch up on our lives and some juicy gossip. This is one of my favorite things to do with Sabrina because even when all we do is sit and do nothing, I find that I enjoy myself to the fullest extent. Sitting there listening to my friend talk about how annoying a classmate is, or how she tried a new food just puts a smile on my face. Singing until we're out of breath and taking the time to listen to all the events in our lives is one of the things I loved to do and I valued all the things we shared with one another. We then began to transition our car ride into a bike ride. Before arriving at Fort Snelling to start biking, we decided to stop by Caribou Coffee for a quick snack. We drove right past Caribou Coffee for two to three miles before we realized the GPS was screaming at us to make a U–turn. Eventually, Sabrina and I got our coffees and sat down to talk about where we'd like to bike. We decided upon following the trails by Fort Snelling to Minnehaha Falls. After downing our drinks, and driving to Fort Snelling, the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Descriptive Essay About Animals JADE My entire life I've always held a special place in my heart for animals. There's just something about them that makes my usual cold stone exterior melt. Through the course of my life I've owned several different kinds of pets, majority of which were given away. After owning all these animals I can say without a doubt I am definitively a cat person. Each time I've lost an animal it hurt considerably but none of which hurt as much as when I had to give up my cat Jade. Adopting Jade was a very pivotal point in my life. I had been begging for a pet for months, I'm talking on my knees pleading with tears in my eyes. I was looking for something to fill the domestic animal sized void in my heart that was made when they gave my dog Pierce away because he was "too high maintenance". I was also just thinking about how great it had been owning our first cat Boots who they gave away because he wasn't very nice to any member of our family but me. Finally I wore my aunt down enough to where she agreed to take me to the animal shelter to "look and see". I had never been in an animal shelter before so I had no idea what to expect when we arrived. It was a reasonably sized building, kind of reminding of a daycare center for little kids. Literally every dog in the building started barking when we walked in and honestly it broke my heart that so many of them were without homes. One of the people who worked there showed us to the first room on our right, one of the rooms Get more content on HelpWriting.net

There is a band of a perfect line of small circles that runs infinite in the exact middle of the accessory. The thirteen small circles sit in the small seats of metal all in unison and order. • 5. Descriptive Essay Example Descriptive Essay Example We all know college is hard; if it were easy, everyone would have a degree and no one would ever ask for help. But here at Crafton Hills College, tutors are available to help out students in any way, so that those who struggle can do well and be successful. These mentors don't just lecture, they take the time to make sure students understand and comprehend what is being taught. Tutors are at hand for a variety of subjects, some have appointments for one on one time and others are for use at one's convenience. The best part is, students don't have to search for a tutor, or post flyers saying "HELP NEEDED." CHC has a Tutoring Center, completely free, which is easy to find and a...show more content... Now, continuing on to the Tutoring Center, a few more steps and you have reached a set of stairs that lead downward. Down these twenty or so steps is the Tutoring Center. After reaching the bottom, there is a small doorway to the left and a sign that says "Welcome to the Tutoring Center!", as a confirmation that one is indeed in the right place. The Tutoring Center is a large rectangle shaped room, with small separate glass enclosed rooms around the edges. The rooms on the left and right are offices of some professors an instructors, while the back wall has some small rooms for study groups and private tutoring lessons, with one very large room painted bright yellow. A front desk is located to the immediate right once entered. Here is where anyone can receive information about the Tutoring Center and view waiting lists for certain subject tutors; flyers and booklets are also free to take. It provides us with all kinds of pleasure. Other things that I also love about spring are those smells that are widespread in nature. The air is fresh and full of pleasant aromas of different flowers. When I am walking in the fields or any other place during spring time, my noses catch a mixture of smells that really increases my strong love for nature. I will now say I am absolutely calm when I am listening, feeling, smelling, and looking at the spring around me. Spring is my favourite season, and nature when it is spring is relaxing and comfortable. The earth wears a green dress. Again it comes to life. • 8. Descriptive Essay About My Village Wherever I am, I find it hard to resist the tempting call of my hometown. My hometown is a small village located in Shandong province. There are about two thousand people in the village. Small as it is, it's a very beautiful place and has its own folk culture. The weather is warm in winter and cool in summer. It's a good place for tourism. The most attractions in the village are the river around my hometown and the green hills opposite the river. On the hills there are large tea plantations and fruit trees. The river, in which there are all kinds of big and smooth cobbles, flows gurgling in four seasons, with groups of fish and shrimps playing in the water. When spring was coming, the fields look like a green carpet, and the willows by the river are putting forth a lot of tender branches. With breeze blowing, the long thin branches gently brush the cool and refreshing water; there are groups of ducks having fun in the river. Spring is also a season of sowing. When the parents are working in the field, the child are playing all kinds of games near the river, such as swing, eagle catches chicken, seesaw and so on. Summer follows spring. The children sit on the large stones in the river, where they pat the water and make splashes. The sound of water, and the noise of the children's chatting and laughing are mixed together. The birds in the woods are unwilling to be lonely, singing and dancing with joy. The old people sat under the big trees talking about their life Get more content on HelpWriting.net

On one side there is room for two closets with long mirrors that are used as doors. Between the two beds on the side opposite the closets are two desks that are covered with papers, water bottles, notebooks and pens. In the midde of the room sits a black flimsy square card table, covered with a stack of dirty plates and a binder. There are posters hung up around the room, a women's division three national championships poster, a periodic table, an american flag, and various photos of friends and family. The walls and ceiling are white and the floor is carpeted, with a matrix of various grey rectangles. There is a central lamp in the middle of the ceiling that illuminates the room and the blinds keep the rest of the light out. My dorm room is my home away from home. The room represents the collection of all the objects I thought important enough to bring with me to college so in a way it is me. Having to limit myself to only taking a certain amount of things from my home forces me to distill my priorities and interests. I have to figure out what my favorite shirts are, my favorite books, what decorations look the best, what color I want my sheets to be. In a way, I am choosing the traits that I want to bring with myself to college. My room is the combination of my chosen traits, building into my college identity. In the front yard of the house there is a smooth, clean concrete walkway to the front door, surrounded by many bushes, and flowers; trimmed perfectly. • 11. Descriptive Essay About Animals Animals are my favorite things in the world! Me and my family had an amazing trip to Wild Wonders, where I saw and pet so many adorable animals that live there. My family includes my mom, my dad, my brothers Jackson and Gavin, and my cousins, Kyra and Lily. We went to wild wonders on a hot and sunny day. The sky was clear baby blue, dotted with the occasional fluffy white cloud. Wild Wonders is in Bonsall, California. I grew a lot from that trip, and I learned a valuable lesson. In the beginning, I drive for quite a while. The wind is whipping my long blonde hair around in my face, and my brown eyes are twinkling with excitement. I look out my window at the constantly changing landscape. One minute I see a large grove of short and stubby avocado trees growing off the side of a mountain, the next minute I see red brick houses and tall buildings stretching on and on in the sea I call a city. "Wow, Wyatt, I'm so excited! I cannot wait to get there." I hear my cousin's voice and I turn around and see her smiling face. She looks almost exactly like me, but with way more freckles and she has a girl's facial structure. "Yeah. I'm also really excited, Lily," I agree. "I can't believe we waited for so long and it's finally here." While me and Lily talk about what animals we think are going to be there, Jackson, Gavin, and Kyra all play the cheesy car games "Would You Rather" and "Truth or Dare" and "I Spy". Lily is 10, I'm 11, Jackson and Kyra are 13 and 14, and Gavins 15. We Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Descriptive Essay About My Mother No matter how hard life gets for me and how chaotic things can become there has always been one person that I can turn to, my mom. She's been a wealth of advice to call on when I'm clueless and a shoulder to cry on when I'm down. Her compassion for others inspires me to be a better person as does the guidance she has given me over the years. She's not afraid to give me a reality check and to tell me the things I don't want to hear even though I need to. She keeps me grounded and teaches me to appreciate the smaller things in life. Even though my dad was still involved in my life after my parents split up it was my mother who I primarily lived with and it was her who had the greatest influence on my life growing up. Anyone who has known my...show more content... Heaven help you if you do anything to endanger her family. My mom also does not go soft on her kids; she can be a formidable disciplinarian when she wants to and will not hesitate to set us straight when we broke the rules. She won't let anybody walk over her and is really quick to anger if you try. My mother is strong–willed and stubborn; when she sets her mind to something almost nothing will stop her and what an impossible feat it is to change her mind on something. She is very impatient; when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later. She is idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would love nothing more than to be living in a cabin in the mountains while listening to country music. She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on what's happening in her immediate area. From my mother I have learned how to be the person that I am today. Through her I have learned the importance of family and that it is paramount to spend time with them while I still have it. Even now I try to spend time with my family when I have the opportunity to. Form her I have learned compassion for those around me and for animals. Even Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Descriptive Essay : My Dream In my dream, I am in a small boat in rough waters. It is a dark night, with a full moon, dark clouds filling the horizon. I am sitting in a small wooden boat in the ocean or large lake. I cannot see land in any direction. The waters are rough, with large waves rocking the boat. The waves are so rough they are causing water is spray into my face. I am afraid that the boat will tip over and I will drown. I hold on to the sides with both hands. Suddenly up ahead I can see large rocks in the water, large waves crashing against the dark gray slick sides. My boat is going to hit them. Suddenly I am traveling between the rocks standing stark and cold on both sides. My small boat travels between several of them and into a rushing river. I am full of dread, I will certainly sink and drown. I travel down the rushing river. There are high, dark cliffs on both sides. In the distance I can see the cliffs ending and the river disappearing out of my sight. As I travel closer and closer I can hear the sounds of a waterfall. I travel down the river, between the cliffs and over a large waterfall. I fall from a great height, walking up in my bed, still filling as though I will drown. Working With The Dream A small boat in rough water feels like I am out of control. Control is an allusion. It is dark and I do not know where I am or where I am going. I am in a small boat alone like life that is sometimes solitary and must be traveled alone. Life can sometimes feel rough Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Descriptive Essay Trip One of the greatest ways to learn about the world around us is to take a trip to visit new places. This past summer, I flew from my home in Florida to take a road trip with my aunt from Roanoke, Virginia. We went to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was an amazing experience to be able to visit the place where my family originated. Our trip started in Roanoke where my aunt and I made our way to Canada driving through the night. Unfortunately, since it was dark, I was unable to see anything. I did, however, get to have time to talk with my aunt and get to know her a little better. After a long eleven hour drive, we finally made it to our Canadian destination. After resting a few hours at another aunt's house in Milton, I was ready to become tourist for a few days. My first stop was Niagara Falls just north of the Canadian border. Niagara Falls is the largest waterfall by volume in North America; and is one of the largest tourist attractions. Even though it was extremely crowded making viewing difficult; the experience was worth the inconvenience. I was able to walk around and see some of the area surrounding the falls. The town of Niagara has great places to shop, as well as, wonderful restaurants. I enjoyed spending time with both of my aunts and one uncle. On the way back to my aunt's house we stopped off at my favorite restaurant, Swiss Chalet. This franchise is only in Canada, which makes it a must stop place for my family and I to eat. In my opinion, their chicken and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Descriptive Essay Descriptive Essay It was a seemingly beautiful day as I drove on a joy ride in my bright blue sports car, with the wind in my hair. This is an everyday activity for me. My friends would mock me saying, "You spend more money on gas than you make working." I laughed to myself at the thought of jokes amongst my friends. That happiness was soon halted. As I continued driving, I saw a car coming rapidly around the curve. The car did not show any signs of slowing down as it headed towards the intersection. The light turned yellow and then quickly red. Another object caught my eye that made me fear what was going to happen next. A young couple started crossing the street wearing fancy attire. The first thought that came to mind was, 'they are...show more content... One of the police officers came up to me introduced himself, asked me my name and started, "Have you ever seen this driver before? On the road or around town?" I quickly responded, "No, I have not officer." He continued, "I learned from the call back to the station that the driver, David Chrisenger, is considered the town drunk and does not currently have a valid license due to drinking and driving". He asked me some questions and asked me to fill out an incident report. Still shaken up by the whole incident I gladly accepted. The officer ended our conversation. "Thank you so much for your time, Kevin. We really appreciate it." The only thought running through my head on my way home was how much I had not appreciated my wife and children. To witness something of that nature makes one conscientious about what you have and how quickly it could vanish. I vowed after that day to speak out against drinking and driving and the terrible outcomes that can transpire from something that some do not view as a "big deal". It is apparent that better ways have to be found for getting drunk drivers off the road. I encourage anyone to be responsible for their lives and others by agreeing to never drink and drive again, and to also aid your family and friends in doing so. Have a designated driver each night or call a cab. Everyone is capable of saving a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Campus Descriptive Essay West Virginia University has hands down the most gorgeous campus I have ever seen. Every morning I would wake up knowing that I have the privilege of attending a good school with a breathtakingly beautiful campus. I was gradually awoken by the warm rays of sunlight filtering into my room like a gentle wake up call. I got up to look out the window and I saw my fellow classmates walking to class and going about their days. Stretching and yawning I prepare myself for the day. I cannot help but to think that today is going to be a good day. As I stepped outside for the first time I felt the cool breeze gently blowing between the buildings, giving everyone it touches a breath of fresh air. Strolling through campus, I stopped for a minute to admire how the sun was shining down on like a spotlight on all the beautiful blue and gold flowers. The landscapers worked hard planting the flowers of the most royal of blues and the perfect shade of golden yellow. Walking further down the hill I saw the familiar "flying dub v" on every passing persons clothing. Most of my classmates were in a rush to get to class, but I took my time just absorbing my surroundings. A strong breeze carried the scent of freshly cut grass to my nose and embraced me as I continued my journey to class. Passing several students on my way, nodding my head in acknowledgement, a few familiar faces make eye contact and smile. The weather that day was perfect, not too hot, but Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Descriptive Essay About Myself I find it extremely tough to talk about myself and my personal traits. In order for me to dIscuss who I am in an accurate manner then I must provide some basic background information on myself and talk about the Environment I grew up in. This way people can get a better understanding of why I am the way I am. For example, in school when we work in group projects we collaborate and communicate with people who think differently than us then work together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them. Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a family with such good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities. One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a blackbelt which took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other competitors and break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. Another Opportunity I am grateful for is the skill of playing the piano. At first I was not all that enthusiastic about playing it but my parents has signed me up and insisted I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Descriptive Essay About Spring Spring is such a wonderful and joyful season. The air begins to warm, and the temperature rises slowly. Not only that, but the days seem to be getting longer as well. As the snow begins to melt in northern America, the lovely flowers begin to bud and the flies begin to come out. The tree buds starts greening and preparing itself to grow. The air smells different as opposed to winter, it smells fresh and alive. Spring wraps up winter, and leads on to the hot and humid season called summer. Spring is the season that prepares itself for the next season, as forestry is starting to grow and thrive. The animal kingdom also uses spring to mate. The bears that were hibernating no longer have to hibernate. The smell of freshly cut grass also goes through the warm spring air. The grouchy people of winter also start to become happy again. Most people dislike winter as it cold and the driving condition are not great. However in spring, everything is having life, or coming back to life; as well as their spirits. Spring is finally the time where people can finally eat outside, open up the window to let fresh air in. Nothing is better than seeing the neon green trees and grass shining through the low amounts of snow that might still be left behind by Mother Nature. The farming trade also begins in spring; the farmers begin to plant their vegetables so they can harvest them when the time is right. Spring also has a very nice holiday, Easter. • 19. Descriptive Essay About My Journey My journey the day I left my home country in search of a better life was not as pleasurable or exciting as I expected. Although it was not a long flight, the accumulation of unexpected vicissitudes during the trip made my dream of traveling an absolute nightmare. Not only my sadness to be leaving my family behind, the uncertainty to fly alone and for the first time, or my inexperience with the procedures at the airport contributed to this calamity, but even my neighbor on the plane added his bit of sand in the affair. All this situation was such traumatic to me that I even considered never daring to fly again. The nightmare began long before I even set foot on the plane. Once the clutter of the corrupt employee quieted down, I went to check my luggage. Although the line was not so long, it took an eternity for me to receive assistance, since the only two clerks available at the time for that function had a lively talk and did not appear to be in any hurry to attend the line of impatient travelers. Finally, my turn came! The young woman took my documentation with such slow movements that her arms gave the impression of having five–pound weights attached to each hand, and then she asked me to put my luggage on a digital scale to my side. I did not have much in my suitcase, only clothes for a week, a couple of family photos, and a small, fluffy, pink bag with my makeup, body lotions, and my favorite perfume that smelled like the ocean in Hawaii impregnated with the exotic fragrance of the Plumerias. Since everything was in order with the weight, they tagged my luggage and put it on the baggage belt while my eyes followed it until it disappeared behind the curtains. Throughout the check–in process, I tried to show myself steady and calm; I did not want my relatives there to perceive the pain and sadness reflected in my face for leaving them behind. • 21. Three Descriptive Research Methods Essay One of of three methods used for descriptive research is the case study. The case study method is the oldest form of research used in psychology today. To help you better understand what case studies are I would recommend you think of an individual person case. Case study is when someone studies one person to explain things that happen for all of us. Basically applying the outcome to all people ; one representing all. Case studies will describe your behavior. In present day we have noticed that although the individual cases may be accurate, it only applies to that one person. There will always be a conflict of interest because what may happen to one person does not necessarily happen to the next. For example you may say that after...show more content... This type of research gathers information from a large group of people. It will be not go into depth as much as the case study might and involves many cases. As an example think of making you own survey and distributing it out to various amounts of people, gathering the information and conducting you hypothesis. We are constantly asked to participate in surveys whether its an internet advertisement or a class handout from the college you attend. When asking you question you have to be careful as to how you word the question. The words you choose may influence a participant to lean toward a certain side. You may sound biased toward one issue which will effect you survey and hypothesis. Using random sampling allows researcher to have a fair representation of the subjects under study. Every person has an equal chance of participating. I would use this method with very larger groups of people. Ex. school. The last from of research would be naturalistic observation. Basically watching and recording the behavior of different subjects in the natural environment.Much of the reality shows today could be considered a form of naturalistic observation. Pending on how much the program actually interferes with the subject , they allow for an interesting hypothesis. This research will describe the behavior of an subject. Now that we have the information from the research we can evaluate the differences and similarities. When the research reveals that one Get more content on HelpWriting.net
