To form the Affirmative Tú command:
Put the verb in the Tú form
Drop the –S

If the command is affirmative:
Attach pronoun to the end of the
command.
Add accent to the 3rd syllable

Negative commands tell someone what NOT to do.
To form a Negative Tú command:
Put the verb in the YO form
Drop –O
Add the OPPOSITE Tú ending.
-AR verbs add –ES
-ER & -IR verbs add –AS

Comer como no comas
Irregulars:
Ir – no vayas
Ser – no seas
Estar – no estés
Dar – no des
7. Negative Commands
If the command is negative:
Place the pronoun before the
command, but after the “no”
Follow this construction:
NO + DOP + Command
No saques la basura.
No la saques.
