Este documento resume los avances en el tratamiento de la hepatitis C, incluyendo:
1) Nuevas combinaciones de fármacos como sofosbuvir, simeprevir y ledipasvir han aumentado las tasas de curación a más del 90% en algunos genotipos y poblaciones.
2) Estudios recientes demuestran tasas de curación superiores al 90% incluso en pacientes con cirrosis tratados con régimenes de 12 semanas.
3) El tratamiento con sofosbuvir antes del trasplante hepático puede prevenir la recurren
