You are required to give a presentation to your class about a job task simulating a Toolbox Talk. You will
be in small teams (no more than 3 people) and each of you will have to contribute to doing some
research and deliver the presentation. Your presentation will replicate a toolbox talk that is completed
on site, you will have your computer screen open to go through each point with the class and once
finished the class will have the chance to ask questions about what you have presented. The
presentation will be delivered in a sequence to replicate the chosen task, on completion you must
complete the toolbox talk paperwork ensuring a report has been written.
Some of the following topics may be chosen or you may select one of your own:
Move a pile of old bricks
Put up an eave sheet
Cut some tiles
Pull down an old wall
Put up plasterboard
On completion of your presentation, you are to listen to your classmates’ presentations, and actively
contribute by asking questions
Time Allowed
10mins for Toolbox talk and 2 hours to prepare
Assessment Conditions
This assessment will be completed during class time however the research maybe completed at home or
during spare time in class. You will have access to all the information, aids and resources that would
normally be available to you on site
Materials Provided by CIT
Internet access, large screen for toolbox talk, Ready skills

You may have at least two (2) attempts for this assessment.
 If your first attempt is not successful, your teacher will discuss your results with you and will arrange
a second attempt.
 If your second attempt is not successful, you may be required to re-enrol in this unit.

You will have access to all the information, aids and resources that would normally be available to you on site Materials Provided by CIT Internet access, large screen for toolbox talk, Ready skills Materials You Need Notes, pen, device Attempts You may have at least two (2) attempts for this assessment.  If your first attempt is not successful, your teacher will discuss your results with you and will arrange a second attempt.  If your second attempt is not successful, you may be required to re-enrol in this unit.
