• 1845: Sir Robert Peel knew about the starving
Irish so he sent Indian corn to Irish but some
cottiers and labourers were to poor to afford
it. Some people didn’t know how to cook So they
couldn’t eat the corn! 1846: lord john ruSSell
sent more food to the Irish at cheaper price
but due to terrible conditions most of the men
died and the women had to do the heavy work.
But by the time they got home they were to
tired and sick to even cook the dinner!
