2. The first image we see on screen is
the production name the use of the
Big Ben is a representative of
London which links in with the
production name ‘A London Film’.
They use a black and white theme
throughout which I liked due to the
fact in our final thriller opening we
aim to have it black and white.
Throughout this opening I also
noticed a old fashioned font was
used throughout in order to keep a
old fashioned theme throughout.
3. I noticed that they used guitar
strings for a background
whilst titles are appearing on
screen, still keeping the black
and white theme. The
producer and directors names
then appear before the actual
title does, emphasing how
important they are. This film
was made in 1949, so due to
the date, the producers may
have had a big fan base.
4. The names of the main actors are
on screen and have a longer screen
time than the screen play writers,
who comes after the main actors
and has less screen time showing
he’s not as important as the actors.
Then the title of the film
appears in big bold italic
letters drawing attention to
it so the audience are aware
of the film name.
