Personal Learning Preferences
In the beginning of class I scored high on being an active learner and sensory, which I
completely agreed with. Reason being, I prefer to be more hands on with my work. Having time
to think it through and reflect on what I'm being taught allows me to get a better grasp of the
overall lesson. I agree with with authors Felder and Soloman when saying active learners learn
better in groups, because it gives me a chance to brainstorm with a group and explain topics and
ideas with others. If you want to help me learn be sure to provide hands on activities. Also being
a sensory learner, I gain a better grasp on facts I can apply to in my daily life. Following both
sensory and active learning visual and global. After taking this course, I don’t believe my
learning methods have changed. I am still very active and hand on with my learning. I don’t
believe having exact scores make a difference in my personal learning success, because over the
years I have realized on my own what works best for me and what I need to do to achieve
success.

Learning Pathway
I chose learning guide in the beginning of the class because I thought it would be beneficial to
learn with others. I have always enjoyed incorporating my work with others and asking for others
opinions and input. I did not change my pathway midway through the semester, and stayed with
learning guide. Sticking with learning guide was best for me, especially since i am an active
learner. Being an active learner, proves I work better in group and with other, giving me the
chance to explain topics of technology as well as listen to other and brainstorm.

Activities
The forums helped in giving me a broader understanding on how to use multimedia, because the
questions I had unanswered were answered by students. Also when reading through the forums, I
learned fun facts which I wouldn’t have known otherwise. I don’t necessarily know if there was a
specific activity which gave me a deeper understanding of multimedia, but after looking at the
powerpoint, going through forums and taking the quiz I gained a better grasp on what
multimedia is and multiple types there are. I believe the activity which definitely aided in my
learning for this course overall was the social bookmarking, because it required you to do further
research on your own. Then you would share with other classmates and get their opinion. It also
helped that you could see their posts and bookmarks which they think are helpful for learning.

Mobile technologies
Microblogs are an addiction of mine, for a wide range of reasons. It has benefited me in
schooling, educational reasons outside of school, as well as social reasons. Microblogging sites
like twitter, Facebook, and tumblr can all be used for person social reasons, to keep up with
friends, and stay connected. In addition to staying connected these microblogs have informed me
of vital information which has benefitted me. I have found job offers and connected with people
who have helped me get closer towards my future goals. Lastly, when completing research
papers or school assignments, blogs have helped me gain a better knowledge of necessary
information.
Ipads allow people to email, research, document, record, and socialize at their fingertips.
Ipads are great creations and accommodate to a wide range of learners. Me specifically, in
schooling it allows me to contact people wherever I may be. I can communicate with classmates
when doing group projects, and overall communication with schoolmates. They also give you the
ability to connect with classmates for group projects. Without social networking sites, it would
be so much more complicated when trying to contact students. Most importantly, since I am a
visual learner, having a larger screen to view, gives me the chance to look up and get a better
grasp of what I need at that specific time.
         My Ipod has to be most useful item of mobile technology in my daily life. Even though it
may not directly help me in my classes and schooling, it allows me to focus overall. I don’t
believe I have used my ipod for specific assignments or projects, but it helps in my overall
concentration. Having my ipod with me gives me the ability to focus and relax, which in stressful
situations is very beneficial. The stressful times in school seem to only get more aggravating
without my ipod. I have become so dependent on it, as well as so thankful for having music at
my finger tips.

Synthesized experience
I am really interested in the tablet computers. There are so many different versions out there and
I personally don’t have one, but I am interested in purchasing one. They seem to have no
limitations. They allow multimedia learning at your fingertips at all times and all locations. They
also bring books to life with interactive textbooks and ebooks, which include all necessities like
text, images, video, animation and audio. The multimedia device which surprised me the most
was the google sites. I am so illiterate when it come to technology and had no idea you could
easily create a multimedia website which can include audio, test, animations, video and images.
        Social technologies like the internet help me tremendously with my learning preferences.
It makes things so easily accessible. In a matter of seconds you have the ability to look up
anything you are curious about, or information for assignments. It also gives you the opportunity
to collaborate with others whether it’s for school or fun. Social technologies give people with all
different learning methods a chance to grasp information. Whether they learn better by watching
audio, reading information, or visual graphs and photos, they are all there. Personally, I can grasp
more information when I am shown photos and watch explanatory audio films.

Learned experiences
I will continue to used strategies that involve a lot of visuals, whether it’s photos, audio, video
and so on. Also continue to collaborate with other students throughout my learning process. I
definitely recommend other professors to use forums in their class. It gives students a chance to
communicate and ask questions without the worry of being graded on it or being judged.
Collaborating and asking questions helps in all aspects of life, and helps with becoming more
knowledgeable. I will definitely continue to use multimedia in whatever future career plans.
        I will continue to use a variety of multimedia technologies, especially the internet. I rely
on the internet for so many things for school and outside of school. I also hope to invest in a
tablet computer. Websites like google who give the ability to create your own websites and pages
give me the chance to further my goals. It gives me the ability to promote and make known what
I have to offer. This can be beneficial for a job or can also help someone create their own
business. In addition to being beneficial in school and work, I will use multimedia to socialize
with family and friends. I will continue to use multimedia to connect through social networking
sites like Facebook, twitter, instagram and so on. They all give me the ability to connect with
family and friends who live 20 minutes away and some that live across the U.S.

  • 1. Personal Learning Preferences In the beginning of class I scored high on being an active learner and sensory, which I completely agreed with. Reason being, I prefer to be more hands on with my work. Having time to think it through and reflect on what I'm being taught allows me to get a better grasp of the overall lesson. I agree with with authors Felder and Soloman when saying active learners learn better in groups, because it gives me a chance to brainstorm with a group and explain topics and ideas with others. If you want to help me learn be sure to provide hands on activities. Also being a sensory learner, I gain a better grasp on facts I can apply to in my daily life. Following both sensory and active learning visual and global. After taking this course, I don’t believe my learning methods have changed. I am still very active and hand on with my learning. I don’t believe having exact scores make a difference in my personal learning success, because over the years I have realized on my own what works best for me and what I need to do to achieve success. Learning Pathway I chose learning guide in the beginning of the class because I thought it would be beneficial to learn with others. I have always enjoyed incorporating my work with others and asking for others opinions and input. I did not change my pathway midway through the semester, and stayed with learning guide. Sticking with learning guide was best for me, especially since i am an active learner. Being an active learner, proves I work better in group and with other, giving me the chance to explain topics of technology as well as listen to other and brainstorm. Activities The forums helped in giving me a broader understanding on how to use multimedia, because the questions I had unanswered were answered by students. Also when reading through the forums, I learned fun facts which I wouldn’t have known otherwise. I don’t necessarily know if there was a specific activity which gave me a deeper understanding of multimedia, but after looking at the powerpoint, going through forums and taking the quiz I gained a better grasp on what multimedia is and multiple types there are. I believe the activity which definitely aided in my learning for this course overall was the social bookmarking, because it required you to do further research on your own. Then you would share with other classmates and get their opinion. It also helped that you could see their posts and bookmarks which they think are helpful for learning. Mobile technologies Microblogs are an addiction of mine, for a wide range of reasons. It has benefited me in schooling, educational reasons outside of school, as well as social reasons. Microblogging sites like twitter, Facebook, and tumblr can all be used for person social reasons, to keep up with friends, and stay connected. In addition to staying connected these microblogs have informed me of vital information which has benefitted me. I have found job offers and connected with people who have helped me get closer towards my future goals. Lastly, when completing research papers or school assignments, blogs have helped me gain a better knowledge of necessary information.
  • 2. Ipads allow people to email, research, document, record, and socialize at their fingertips. Ipads are great creations and accommodate to a wide range of learners. Me specifically, in schooling it allows me to contact people wherever I may be. I can communicate with classmates when doing group projects, and overall communication with schoolmates. They also give you the ability to connect with classmates for group projects. Without social networking sites, it would be so much more complicated when trying to contact students. Most importantly, since I am a visual learner, having a larger screen to view, gives me the chance to look up and get a better grasp of what I need at that specific time. My Ipod has to be most useful item of mobile technology in my daily life. Even though it may not directly help me in my classes and schooling, it allows me to focus overall. I don’t believe I have used my ipod for specific assignments or projects, but it helps in my overall concentration. Having my ipod with me gives me the ability to focus and relax, which in stressful situations is very beneficial. The stressful times in school seem to only get more aggravating without my ipod. I have become so dependent on it, as well as so thankful for having music at my finger tips. Synthesized experience I am really interested in the tablet computers. There are so many different versions out there and I personally don’t have one, but I am interested in purchasing one. They seem to have no limitations. They allow multimedia learning at your fingertips at all times and all locations. They also bring books to life with interactive textbooks and ebooks, which include all necessities like text, images, video, animation and audio. The multimedia device which surprised me the most was the google sites. I am so illiterate when it come to technology and had no idea you could easily create a multimedia website which can include audio, test, animations, video and images. Social technologies like the internet help me tremendously with my learning preferences. It makes things so easily accessible. In a matter of seconds you have the ability to look up anything you are curious about, or information for assignments. It also gives you the opportunity to collaborate with others whether it’s for school or fun. Social technologies give people with all different learning methods a chance to grasp information. Whether they learn better by watching audio, reading information, or visual graphs and photos, they are all there. Personally, I can grasp more information when I am shown photos and watch explanatory audio films. Learned experiences I will continue to used strategies that involve a lot of visuals, whether it’s photos, audio, video and so on. Also continue to collaborate with other students throughout my learning process. I definitely recommend other professors to use forums in their class. It gives students a chance to communicate and ask questions without the worry of being graded on it or being judged. Collaborating and asking questions helps in all aspects of life, and helps with becoming more knowledgeable. I will definitely continue to use multimedia in whatever future career plans. I will continue to use a variety of multimedia technologies, especially the internet. I rely on the internet for so many things for school and outside of school. I also hope to invest in a tablet computer. Websites like google who give the ability to create your own websites and pages give me the chance to further my goals. It gives me the ability to promote and make known what
  • 3. I have to offer. This can be beneficial for a job or can also help someone create their own business. In addition to being beneficial in school and work, I will use multimedia to socialize with family and friends. I will continue to use multimedia to connect through social networking sites like Facebook, twitter, instagram and so on. They all give me the ability to connect with family and friends who live 20 minutes away and some that live across the U.S.
