  1. 1. A Wireless IoT System towards Gait Detection in Stroke Patients Abstract: IOT is an innovation which uses internet to control the physical items. Using IOT we can obtain outcome which is more precise, quick and exact. In IOT all database will be stored in computer. This storage is done through internet. Later this database is used accordingly to their requirements and applications. Components can be accessed from far place by using IoT, hence it reduces human work or involvement. This makes investment of system less. All different protocols can be used accordingly to respective domain in IOT. We all know that India is the second largest populated country in world. India faces a problem in traffic congestion, it needs a solution for this problem. If we design a control system for traffic in proper way this congestion problem would be solved. Hence by using IOT concept this can be solved. Gait monitoring through the Internet of Things (IoT) is able to provide an overall assessment of daily living. All existing systems for predicting abnormality in gait mainly consider the gait related parameters. Their accuracy is limited because consequences due to injuries are significantly affected by different events in the gait. The objective of this study is to present a multisensory system that investigates walking patterns to predict a cautious gait in stroke patient. For this study, fall sensor and a Wi-Fi communication module is used to discreetly monitor insole pressure and accelerations of the patient’s motion. To the best of our knowledge, we are the first to use the gait spatiotemporal parameters implemented in smartphones to predict a cautious gait in a stroke patient. The proposed system can warn the user about their abnormal gait and possibly save them from forthcoming injuries from fear of falling. This project uses regulated 5V, 500mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac output of secondary of 230/12V step down transformer.
