genetic material from each parent.

 Binary Fission: The process by which
the organism splits into two.
 Most bacteria and protozoa reproduce
by binary fission.

 Budding: an offspring grows out of
the body of the parent.
 Hydra and sponges reproduce by
budding.

 The production of a new organism
from a portion of another organism
 Plants can reproduce by vegetative
propagation

8. Regeneration
 The re-growth of a lost or damaged
part of an organism
 Starfish can regenerate an arm
 Planaria can regenerate into two
organisms
