1. HOW TO DO TRACK CHANGES IN MS WORD
The first thing you do is:
Then, you click on the Track changes arrow to open up the mini window where you click on Change
Tracking Options:
Check all the settings to make sure they are right:
Now you are all set to make insertions and deletions that will show clearly and be in a different
colour than your client’s or tutor’s editing.

2. Then, you start making changes in your document. I’ve included an example below, so you can see
how it looks.

You only have to watch TV to discover several different interviewing styles.
Newsnight's Jeremy paxman Paxman has a hard-hitting, confrontational style.
martin Martin Bashir, who interviewed Jackson Michael, Jackson, is far more amenable.
And, Mrs Merton, played by Caroline Aherne, relies on charm and coy humour.
But, all of these interviewers achieve results.
They get information get out of people, —
To make the deletions, simply highlight the word you want to delete and press the delete button. Or,
you can put your cursor at the beginning of the word, and press delete until the whole word is
crossed out, like this: paxman
To exchange one word for another, highlight the wrong word and just type in the new word. There is
no need to delete it first as Word will automatically delete it and write the new word next to it, like
this: martin Martin Bashir
To insert an extra character or word, just out your cursor in the spacew where you want it, and type
it in. It will come out in your editing colour, like this: They get information
To make a comment, highlight the word(s) you want to make a comment about, and click on the
comment button:
A balloon will appear on the right-hand side of the page, distorting the page to make room for it.
Don’t worry about this (it’s not showing in this blog post as it had to be presented differently).
Just type into the balloon what you want to say,

3. Then, it works much the same as described for MS Word Track changes.
You will need to play around with Track changes a bit, adjusting the settings to suit you, but it won’t
take long before you find it easy to do.
