this idea similar to or different from our "United States" view on death?
We don’t take death all too seriously until we experience it through a family member or friend’s death.
When is All Saints Day and All Souls Day celebrated?
1 & 2 of November
Even though each region in Mexico celebrates Day of the Dead differently, what are things that they
do have in common.
Colorful decorations, exciting reunions, special foods, and altars and religious rites.
November 1 is reserved to remember dead children and babies.
November 2 is reserved to remember deceased adults and older people.
From mid-October to the first week in November, what are some of the items markets and shops stock
up on?
Macabre toys, paper cut-outs, wreaths, crosses and crucifixes, candles, seasonal flowers.

In your own words, describe the cemeteries in Mexico? What do you like or dislike about the cemetery
decorations?
It smells like flowers. Candles are all over the cemetery and altars are in front of tombstones. I think it’s
beautiful, unlike any celebration I’ve seen.

I would eat the Pan de Muerto. I would not eat the candy, because I dislike some candy.
