Strategy to overcome/prevention
We can not avoid any accidents during
filming the videos, such as falling down and
colliding with something. In addition, the
actor and me are possible having illness
during this time. In this situation, we must
be careful and take care of ourselves to
make the chance getting injured minimum.
If one of us gets ill, I might rearrange the
time.
I will check the weather forecast before the
day when I am going to film. I won’t film if it
is rain as damaging the equipments.
I am going to take three memory cards with
me, a 16GB, an 8GB and a 4GB. And I will
clean them up before using them. On the
other hand, I will copy footages as soon as
possible and try my best to avoid formatting
malfunction happened.
I will ensure that the camera has been
charged the night before each shoot, and
after each shoot as soon as possible. And I
have two camera so that I have a back- up
insurance by the way.

Because the shooting location I have chosen is
in public area, likes park and street. During the
weekend those places are very busy, and
children probably interrupt the filming. When
the cars pass the road they also may interrupt
us. As reasons I might invite my friends to help
my as assistants. Though film the footages
successfully is important, we must put the
public order in the first place.
There are lots of electrical equipment in studio,
likes studio lighting and digit screen. If they
are used for a long time, the accident likes the
lights burn would happen. In this situation, it
is important that do not use them too long
and keep an eye on them, if accident happen,
turn off all the equipment and find college
staffs as quickly as possible.

During editing
One of locations is on the street in Hartlepool,
so the traffic may be busy on Saturday which is
the filming day I have chosen. To avoid traffic
accident and clashes, I will bring along an
assistant if necessary.
Me
After shooting the film I have to use editing
software likes final cut HD to edit it. It might
crash when dealing with possibly hundreds of
footages. To ensure I won’t loose what I have
done, I would save my work once I have edited
something new.

I use a Sony camera, a Panasonic camcorder , a
tripod for shooting the footages. Some of the
equipment is borrowed from college and some
of them are mine. First of all, I have checked
the equipment from college is in good
condition. In addition, I have checked my own
camera which was fine. If the equipment is
broken during filming, I can use my Iphone
momentarily.
I need plenty of costar in my music video, but
the problem is, I can not ensure everyone will
be there in the filming day. I am going to call
everyone to make sure they will come, and
most of them are my friends. On the other
hand, it is difficult to decide the shooting date,
because not everyone has the same free day.
So I will put the main actor’s above everyone
else.
Because I should provide all costumes, make
up, props and equipment, otherwise, this is a
low budget music video, so that I have to save
money for something useful things. And some
props might be re-used and they are probably
borrowed from others.
The performance of actor is the key point of a
music video, I have to make sure he is
comfortable with the location and he has
mood to be filmed.
