Position: QC WeldingInspector
Project: Wheatstone Upstream Project
Client/ Contractor: Chevron/Allseas/AGC
Period: 06/2014 – 05/2015
Project Description:
The Wheatstone Project's offshore processing platform will be located in 70 metres of water, about
225 kilometres from the coast. Gas, condensate and associated aquifer water will be produced
from the Wheatstone gas resources.
The natural gas and condensate will be brought to the Earth’s surface via a series of subsea wells
and transported through a network of subsea pipelines to the central processing platform.
Rengaraj. N
On the platform, water produced with the gas and condensate will be separated, cleaned and pumped
back into the ocean. The gas and condensate will then be dehydrated, compressed and sent to the
onshore gas plant via a 225 kilometre subsea trunkline.
The trunkline will cross the shore via a method known as micro-tunnelling, which will avoid
environmentally sensitive mangroves and habitats, reducing the impact on the environment.
