3. * This Digipak follows the common conventions of
album covers. It includes:
* An image of her on the front.
* Her name.
* Barcode on the back.
* Track list on the back.
* Same theme throughout – Pink, purple and
orange. Also images of her on both sides.
* Name of the album bold on the front.

4. * The image of Miley shows the audience
her back but she is looking over shoulder.
* She is making eye contact which is
conventional of Digipak covers as it allows
the audience to make eye contact with
the artist to draw them in.
* Her hand is in front of her mouth and her
lips are parted, it looks as if she wants to
say something but she is hiding it.
* This makes her look mysterious to the
audience. This could be the point of the
cd as it makes you think that if you listen
to it you can understand what she is
trying to say.
For my own digipak the image could consist of my group
and I making eye contact with the camera. By making eye
contact with the audience it will draw them in.

5. * The front cover consists of Miley standing in
front of palm trees and a light up sign of the
album name ‘Bangerz’.
* This could imply that it’s a holiday cd that’s
fun to listen to. You usually see features of the
light up signs and palm tree’s when you go on
holiday.
* Also the cd also implies ‘fun’ as the word
‘Bangerz’ is commonly used amongst teenagers
to say a song is good. By using the word it
implies that she is saying her songs are young
and fun which will apply to her target
audience.

6. * The clothing she is wearing consists of a black jacket.
* She has her hands gripping tightly on the jacket and
has the back of her leg on show, this could imply that
it’s the only thing she is wearing.
* This adds to her sex appeal and it makes her look
desirable as if, if you listen to the cd she will ‘reveal’
herself to you.
* This adds to the mysterious atmosphere she is giving
by the look she has on her face. When you turn to the
back she has opened her jacket and she has nothing
on but isn't revealing any intimate areas. She is still a
mystery and ‘not revealing anything’. This makes you
want to listen to the cd in order for her to tell you.
* By her looking ‘mysterious’ and ‘sexy’ it will appeal
to teenagers and young adults. As most of her
audience are girls, it could be a chance to target boys
into listening to her music as well.

7. * The editing of the image looks low budget as
you can see the crops where she has been cut
out.
* This has been done on purpose. I think it makes
her stand out from the background – making
her the main focus.
* I think this is to show that she is not like
everyone else, she is original.
* The sign she has edited in is commonly used outside clubs
and bars in order to draw in the public as they flash.
* Clubs are for young people so the sign could be
metaphorical for her ‘flashing her sign’ to draw in her
target audience.
The editing of the image makes the artist stand out.
My group and I have an idea of putting a range of
images on our digipak, we could do this and then
have larger image of us with the outline in to stand
out from the background.

8. * Around her images there is a lot of
empty space. She has used a colour
scheme of an ombré of purple, pink and
orange.
* This almost looks like a sunset on the
horizon. This could aid her holiday
theme of the cd and having fun.
* Using the empty space for colour instead
of filling it with images implies that she
isn't focusing on how the cover looks.
What is more important is the music that
is being held in side.
I like the colours used on her front cover as it makes
it seem like a cd you want to listen to on holiday.
My music video is based on ‘fun in the summer’ so a
similar colour scheme could work well on my
digipak.

9. * The digipak is eye catching as she looks sexual
and seductive.
* The make up and hair she has styled looks
natural. She is being subtle as she is supposedly
naked but the only skin she is showing is her legs.
This highlights that she doesn't’t need to take her
clothes off in order to draw in her audience.
* This makes her more appealing to her target
audience. she is not over the top.
* Miley’s look on this album is completely different
to her previous albums. She looks more mature
which could encourage people to buy the cd. She
isn't child anymore.
* People will want to see what her new music is
like along side her ‘new image’.

10. * There is a narrative played through
the digipak. The image on the front
starts as her covering herself up but
when you turn over to the back she
has opened up her jacket.
* She is loosing her ‘mystery’ the
closer you get to opening the cd.
This encourages you to buy the
album to find out what is going to
happen.
This could be a good feature to use within my
own digipak. It draws in the audience and
makes them think – what's going to come next
when I open it?
