- First off Ruby part of ruby on Rails. Ruby is a dynamic, reflective, object oriented programming language.
- Early 1993
- It was released to domestic Japanese newsgroups in 1995. Uncommon for programming languages to be released in Japan. At the end of the 1990s there was the first english mailing list promoting which encouraged growth and adoption. Which lead to the publishing of the first English book.
- First edition was published in 2000 - prompting more adoption. But there’s nothing that’s prompted it’s adoption than Ruby on Rails
