meploy culture deck
Version II - July 2019
Everyone should have access
to an income, regardless of how
they choose to live their life.
Our current work culture, based on existing labour
market regulations, is filled with barriers that leaves
people with a choice between flexibility or security.
We want to break these barriers, and give everyone,
anywhere access to an income and life, on good &
own terms.
OUR MISSION
To empower the workforce of tomorrow, and give everyone,
everywhere the possibility of earning a good income by
removing the barriers that lead to employment.
VISION
Build a sharing work community where millions of people can
daily get connected with companies, and get access to tools
and services that allows them to live the life they wish to live.
OUR PROMISE
Build the world’s simplest and most reliable staffing
solution, that workers’ love.
This document is about our special
employee culture and how it helps
us reaching our mission & vision.
Like all great companies we strive to hire the best talent to help meploy grow,
provide fantastic service to our working community & companies using us.
We want to give over one million persons access to a good & stable income, a
vision that requires a lot of resilience, determination and collaboration to reach.
7 aspects of our culture
Values are the result of our behaviour.
Growth over details.
Champion the mission.
First principle thinking.
Break barriers, not laws.
Freedom & responsibility.
We are One team.
You can’t write and determine values.
At most, you can give your culture &
brand a push in a direction.
Actions determine values.
Not words on a wall.
Values are the result of our behaviour.
We ask ourselves each year
what we appreciate about
each other, why our values
change with time, new hires &
stages of the company.
At the moment, we have 7 employee values*.
*Not to confuse with our 7 aspects of our culture ;)
SELFLESSNESS
COMMITMENT
JUST
JUDGEMENT
PERSISTENCE
BRUTAL HONESTY
FRIENDLINESS
Values are the result of our behaviour.
SELFLESSNESS Is ego-less when searching for the best ideas.

Shares information with others, instead of
keeping it for him/herself.

Seeks what is best for meploy, rather than best
for him/herself or the team.

Values are the result of our behaviour.
COMMITMENT Takes full responsibility for the given tasks and
don’t expects anyone to do it for him/her.
Takes ownership and drives it until it is finished.
Cares about delivering more than expected.
Values are the result of our behaviour.
JUST Fences against injustice and unfairness.
Treats everyone alike and with the highest
respect.
Evaluates and understands water-ring-effects of
decisions made.
Respects laws and regulations.
Challenges what one believes is not right.
Values are the result of our behaviour.
JUDGEMENT Makes wise decisions despite ambiguity.
Smartly segments what must be done well now,
and what can be improved later.
Understands which fires to extinguish, and which
ones to deal with at a later stage.
Prioritise easily to-do’s and execute in the right
order.
Values are the result of our behaviour.
PERSISTENCE Don’t gives up easily and doesn’t accept doing
something mediocre.
Fight for his/hers opinions, but also accept the
group decision once it is taken.
Always curious to find new ways and solutions.
Values are the result of our behaviour.
BRUTAL HONESTY Expresses him/herself with directness and
candour (frankness), and isn’t uncomfortable
giving & receiving constructive feedback.
Quickly admits mistakes.
Deals directly with problems with the person, in
person. Never talks behinds someones back.
Separates the person from the work task, and
doesn’t take things personally.
Values are the result of our behaviour.
FRIENDLINESS Makes time to help his/hers colleagues.

Respects the opinions of others.
Helps and does things for fellow co-workers.
That smile and “hello” in the morning!
Values are the result of our behaviour.
7 aspects of our culture
Values are the result of our behaviour.
Growth over details.
Champion the mission.
First principle thinking.
Break barriers, not laws.
Freedom & responsibility.
We are One team.
We’re a startup that strives to create impact, and one
that is build upon a dedicated mission. That will not
change.
At meploy, you’re employed by the mission and
work towards realising that.
If your goal is a quick, individual pursuit of a career to a high pay, meploy is
probably not the place for you. We evaluate and promote people how they work
in teams rather than the individual spotlight seekers.
Champion the mission.
We expect everyone to prioritise work that
advances the mission and positively impacts
the community - both everyone working with
us & our society.
We’re in it for the long-term and the effects we have on people’s
everyday lifes are important. We should never forget or be
ignorant about that. We’re more than just a (tech) company.
Champion the mission.
7 aspects of our culture
Values are the result of our behaviour.
Growth over details.
Champion the mission.
First principle thinking.
Break barriers, not laws.
Freedom & responsibility.
We are One team.
Your colleagues are the reason you will succeed
A “Zlatan” will take you to the championships, the team will win it. No one is
that good that an entire succes can be built around him or her.
NASA hired 25.000 persons to take man to the moon. Each person played
an important role for the accomplishment of the mission.
We are One team.
In order to keep our promise, our teams and colleagues need
to trust each other that everyone delivers above expectations.
Without that trust and reliability, building a foundation for
exceptional execution and service is, well, impossible.
Micromanagement is a result of a need of control, poor briefs,
or simply bad hires. At all costs, this has to be avoided.
If you can’t trust your colleague, you end up
loosing time & energy.
We are One team.
It isn’t about the coffee machine, nice offices, big compensations etc. All that fades
away with time and are short-term rewards. What remains and lasts is the amazing
people you work with and don’t want to leave.
Our goal is to ensure that you’re in an environment where you brag to others about
your colleagues. In the end, mediocre colleagues kills a person’s skills and lust to
learn more and develop.
Phenomenal workplaces consists
of phenomenal people.
We are One team.
7 aspects of our culture
Values are the result of our behaviour.
Growth over details.
Champion the mission.
First principle thinking.
Break barriers, not laws.
Freedom & responsibility.
We are One team.
Great people thrive in freedom.
For some few freedom is when you have to work. If that is your view, our
work place will be difficult and hard to navigate. Most likely quite frustrating.
As long is it works with the task ahead & team, nobody cares when you work,
or where, in the end it is about the output of your work and how you grow the
mission.
Freedom is about how you work, removing barriers for you to solve
problems and be creative.
Freedom & responsibility.
Create your own job.
We prefer not to give you tasks, nor explain how you should do your
work, you should tell us! That is why you are hired.
You have colleagues and management to help you, but don’t
expect anyone else to solve your tasks. It is your responsibility to
manage yourself & output, and your time (self-discipline).
Freedom & responsibility.
Freedom does not mean you can do what you want. We have one simple
policy: Always act in meploy’s best interest.
One simple policy
Freedom & responsibility.

Values are the result of our behaviour.

Champion the mission.
First principle thinking.
Break barriers, not laws.
Freedom & responsibility.
We are One team.
We actively question every assumption you think you ‘know’ about a
given problem or scenario — and then we create new knowledge and
solutions from scratch.
We apply this thinking to all problem solving. You need to understand the
root of the problem in order to be able solve it a new way. That is what is
ment by first principle thinking.
We don’t accept things how they are
First principle thinking.
On the flip side, reasoning by analogy is building knowledge and solving
problems based on prior assumptions, beliefs and widely held ‘best practices’
approved by majority of people.
We try to avoid that. That is how our main competition work today.
First principle thinking.
7 aspects of our culture
Values are the result of our behaviour.

Champion the mission.
First principle thinking.
Break barriers, not laws.
Freedom & responsibility.
We are One team.
“The devil is in the details” - yes. Absolutely true. But not everywhere, and
definitely not always. Smart decision are made on good judgement when to
invest time, and when to know when it is good enough.
We focus on growth as it is the only way we can create more jobs and
income for our community.
We don’t have an abundance of time
Growth over details.
7 aspects of our culture

Growth over details.
Champion the mission.
First principle thinking.
Break barriers, not laws.
Freedom & responsibility.
We are One team.
On everyday basis you are dealing with people’s work and salary. We have
the highest respect for that why our job is not to be “pre-legal” or find
questionable shortcuts.
Everyone working on our platforms are employed by us, everyone is our
colleague for whom we have the responsibility. Why we will never charge
them for our service but fight to ensure they get the best possible terms.
We work to break the barriers to get an income, not to re-shape laws.
We’re accountable for our actions
Break barriers, not laws.
7 aspects of our culture
Values are the result of our behaviour.
Growth over details.
Champion the mission.
First principle thinking.
Break barriers, not laws.
Freedom & responsibility.
We are One team.
Our culture is our source of energy.
It is the summary of who we are & what we value.
It make us understand how we work together & treat each other.
It removes ego, un-constructive complaints and that negativity that tears on others
and changes focus away from the mission to the individual. Our workplace is not
here to meet the individual need, but to create an environment for teams to thrive.
Why is culture so important to us
Our culture is a work in progress. And this deck
represent our current thoughts on how create and
build an environment for continuous growth.
To be continued…

NASA hired 25.000 persons to take man to the moon. Each person played an important role for the accomplishment of the mission. We are One team.
  • 19. In order to keep our promise, our teams and colleagues need to trust each other that everyone delivers above expectations. Without that trust and reliability, building a foundation for exceptional execution and service is, well, impossible. Micromanagement is a result of a need of control, poor briefs, or simply bad hires. At all costs, this has to be avoided. If you can’t trust your colleague, you end up loosing time & energy. We are One team.
  • 20. It isn’t about the coffee machine, nice offices, big compensations etc. All that fades away with time and are short-term rewards. What remains and lasts is the amazing people you work with and don’t want to leave. Our goal is to ensure that you’re in an environment where you brag to others about your colleagues. As long is it works with the task ahead & team, nobody cares when you work, or where, in the end it is about the output of your work and how you grow the mission. Freedom is about how you work, removing barriers for you to solve problems and be creative. Freedom & responsibility.
  • 23. Create your own job. We prefer not to give you tasks, nor explain how you should do your work, you should tell us! That is why you are hired. You have colleagues and management to help you, but don’t expect anyone else to solve your tasks. It is your responsibility to manage yourself & output, and your time (self-discipline). Freedom & responsibility.
  • 24. Freedom does not mean you can do what you want. We have one simple policy: Always act in meploy’s best interest. One simple policy Freedom & responsibility.

We apply this thinking to all problem solving. You need to understand the root of the problem in order to be able solve it a new way. That is what is ment by first principle thinking. We don’t accept things how they are First principle thinking.
  • 27. On the flip side, reasoning by analogy is building knowledge and solving problems based on prior assumptions, beliefs and widely held ‘best practices’ approved by majority of people. We try to avoid that. That is how our main competition work today. First principle thinking.

Everyone working on our platforms are employed by us, everyone is our colleague for whom we have the responsibility. Why we will never charge them for our service but fight to ensure they get the best possible terms. We work to break the barriers to get an income, not to re-shape laws. • 33. Our culture is our source of energy. It is the summary of who we are & what we value. It make us understand how we work together & treat each other. It removes ego, un-constructive complaints and that negativity that tears on others and changes focus away from the mission to the individual. Our workplace is not here to meet the individual need, but to create an environment for teams to thrive. Why is culture so important to us
