- In this example, four different types of learning contexts are integrated together in a single model. The students participate in an online asynchronous environment while having the option for participating in real-time virtual office hours. They then attend a live class session, go conduct an on-site experiential observation, and then return to the asynchronous online environment for discussion and to submit a summative assignment. The contexts indicate the different modalities that make up the learning environment.
