Planet Mars

 1. 1. Mars
By Bradley Gurney
2. 2. About the moons and the planet
If you drop a rock on Phobos it would take 3 minutes to get to your foot. They think the channels have life in there. The water is frozen at the poles on Mars. They think people can live there but they will have to be protected from the cold. The other moons name is Deimos.
3. 3. Mars surface temperature
Mars is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the volcanoes, valleys, deserts and the polar ice caps of Earth. Mars is the home to the Olympus Mons. It is 3 times bigger than Mount Everest. The surface temperatures of Mars are -83C which is the average, the max is 20C and the min is -140C.
4. 4. What the surface looks like
It has lots of debris ,lots of rocks Boulders, Canyons, Inactive Volcanoes and Red Dust. That what the Southern Hemisphere looks like but the North Hemisphere has very few craters. The Northern Hemisphere is smooth from repeated lava flows indicating a lot of volcanic activity. There is also lots of deformed uplifted crustal sections with along with collapsed depressions.
5. 5. How much Mars weighs
Mars weighs 6.4185x1023 kg.
6. 6. Facts about diameter and stuff
Average distance from the Sun: 228 kilometres. Diameter at equator: 6800 kilometres. Period of rotation (length of day) 24.5 hours. Period of orbit around the sun (length of year) 687 Earth days. Surface gravity: 0.38 time that of Earth. Surface temp: usually ranges from about -120 to about -30.
