BRIGHTSANDZ TECHNOLOGIES HOME AUDIT REPORT (+91)9654465443
Spatial Placement
Brightsandz Technologies conducted an assessment of the premises of Mr. Amanjeet Singh residing
at Flat no 901, Tower A, Premier Urban Society, Sector 15, Part 2, Gurgaon 122001. The Premier
Urban Society apartment is a multistoried apartment which is situated at a recess without any tall
concrete buildings in the background. We found 3 mobile telecommunication towers in the North,
North West and South East directions of the Premier Urban Society locality. The location of Mr.
Amanjeet Singh’s house was facing the south east side, facing a mobile communication tower at a
distance of approximately 250 metres from his 9th
floor apartment.
Devices Used
We have used hand held digital Dossimeter (Cornet 78DS) to monitor and assess the radiation
microwaves ranging from 100MHz to 8GHz. This includes Radio Frequency from GSM/3G at
900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz; CDMA 800MHz; LTE 2300MHz(on trials) and WiFi/WLAN/
Bluetooth frequency bands.
For Appliance EMF measurements, we have used hand held analogue Gaussimeter (Trifield 100XE)
which measures electrical and magnetic fields.
What standards are we following?
Indian government, DoT and TRAI has adopted standards specified by ICNIRP guidelines for cell
tower radiation.
However, the major shortcoming of the ICNIRP standard is that it protects against short term gross
heating effects. It doesnot take into account significant biological effects such as oxidative stresses
leading to cancer and cell damage from long term microwave radiation exposure. This is the reason
why most of the advanced economies have adopted much more stringent radiation norms than
those proposed by ICNIRP.
Brightsandz follows a far more stringent standard laid out by the BioInitiative report 2007 – which
suggest 1 milliWatt/sq. metre outdoor exposure and .1 milliWatt/sq. metre in home exposure. Thus
the standards that we follow are as follows
Incident Radiation/ EMR Categorization
~.1 mW/sq.m Very Safe
.5-1 mW/sq.m Safe
Greater than 1 mW/sq.m Risk
Significantly greater than 1 mW/sq.m Very High Risk
4
BRIGHTSANDZ TECHNOLOGIES HOME AUDIT REPORT (+91)9654465443
Resident Profile
We find that there are 2 members in the family – Mr. Amanjeet Singh and his wife – both of them
are in the age group of 25-35 years with sound health.
We don’t see any high risk profile member in the family – Infant, 60+ adult or any person with
medical condition.
EMR: Readings & Summary of Observations
The radiation measurement are summarized in Table 1. We had switched of the home mains to
reduce the interference from domestic electric and electronic appliances.
Sl.no Location Maximum radiation
in milliWatt/sq.
metre
Remarks
1. Ground Floor – Outside lift
lobby/ at the garage / Near
the lawn
3 mW/sq.m and above This open area is in direct
incidence of high radiation.
2. 9th
Floor Mezzanine –
outside the lift corridor
.8mW/sq.m 9th
Floor apartment should not be
in the direct incidence of cell
tower radiation. However, given
that the antennas must radiate to
higher floors, there is a possibility
that few antennas have a positive
angle of incidence from the
vertical axis.
3. Living Room .5mW/sq.m The EMR at the centre of the
room was within recommended
limits of exposures.
4. Living Room Balcony 1.2 – 2 mW/sq.m We see risk zone in this part of
the house.EMR radiation are is
higher than admissible;
consistent and continuous
exposure could lead to negative
biological effects.
5. Living Room (Close to the
Balcony)
1.2- 1.7 mW/sq.m As with the high balcony
exposure, the immediate area
inside the house is also in risk
zone.
6. Living Room (WiFi Corner) 2mW/sq.m High incidence from the tower +
WiFi radiation make this spot a
high risk area. Even if the WiFi is
off, one has to negate the effects
of the cell phone tower

Remarks
7. Living Room ( Main door
side)
.2 - .4 mW/sq.m Safe
8. Living Room (Beside the
dinning table)
.2 mW/sq.m Safe
9. Living Room (at the
bedroom end of dinning
area)
.5 mW/sq.m Safe. However there is an increase
in EMR compared to the
north/north west face of the
room)
10. Kitchen (Inside) 1 – 1.7mW/sq.m Risk
11. Kitchen (Balcony) 1.7 – 2 mW/sq.m Risk
12. Kitchen (Beside the fridge) .7 mW/sq.m Within recommended limits
13. Small Bedroom (Balcony
door)
.8 – 1.2 mW/sq.m Risk
14 Small Bedroom (Beside the
study table)
.5 mW/sq.m Safe.
15. Small Bedroom (Headside
on the bed)
.1 - .2 mW/sq.m Very Safe. We would advise you
to sleep with your head towards
this side of the room.
16. Bedroom corridor .23 mW/sq.m Safe
17. Master bedroom (by the
balcony)
.7 – 1.2 mW/sq.m Risk.
18. Master Bedroom (on the
Right hand Headside – by
the bathroom)
.1 mW/sq.m Very Safe
19. Master Bedroom (by the
attached bathroom)
.1 mW/sq.m Very Safe
20. Master Bedroom (by the
AC)
.5mW/sq.m Safe
We were not able to measure the bathrooms, but given the axial placements in the tower, we
assume that the EMR incidence will not be high.
EMR: Home Mapping
To give a better representation of the readings, we categorized them under 4 heads – giving them
colours to indicate the safety specification.
Basis the readings, the following is the “heat map” of EMR incident on your residence.
High Risk
Risk
Ok
Safe
More than 1.5 mW/sq.m
1 mW/sq.m to 1.5 mW/sq.m
.5 mW/sq.m to 1 mW/sq.m
Less than .5mW/sq.m

Conclusions from the EMR assessment of your home and living premises
1. EMR as a factor has a high correlation with occupancy. Higher occupancy of the building
will mean a higher demand on the nearby telecommunication tower. In order to serve the
demand spikes, the tower will radiate at higher outputs – leading to higher radiation
incidences.
2. Our readings from the ground floor (lawn) – show that the tower is beaming at higher than
average power.
a. Lawn is an important part of a society living – where young kids and old adults spend
their play time and free time. Currently this lawn is not in a healthy state of EMR
exposure. It may risk the health of these people – both of who are highly susceptible to
EMR based health issues.
3. EMR incidences on the tower D of the Premier Urban Society which is closer to the
telecommunication tower will be higher.
4. We expect the radiation to be higher in the middle floors (3rd
to 7th
floor) of tower A and D,
Premier Urban society, which would be in the primary lobe of the incident signal
5. Initially we has assumed that the tower will not cause a high radiation exposure at your
residence – because of the distance and the height – thereby falling under a tertiary lobe.
a. However, in our observations, we found that your balconies in the 9th
floor have high
EMR incidence. Consequently part of the kitchen and the drawing room was also is
also seen to be at risk.
6. EMR exposure on your bed head sides are less than .5mW/sq.m
a. We find that your current sleeping positions are risk free though the left hand side of
the master bed has relatively higher EMR exposure.
7. It is important to understand that tower loads peak in the evenings around 9 PM – 11 PM
because of a lot of voice and data usage. We have visited your housing complex at a less
than average load factor demand. It is likely that the EMR incidences would increase in the
evenings. This could lead to higher exposures in the evening.

BRIGHTSANDZ TECHNOLOGIES HOME AUDIT REPORT (+91)9654465443
EMF assessment
We also assessed the EMF from your domestic appliances. EMF is a natural by product of all
systems. The larger the electricity requirement of your appliance, the higher is it EMF signature (eg
AC, Invertor, Stabilizer). Magnetic fields are harmful but EMF incidences reduce with increasing
distance. Some other appliances such as Hair dryers, Shavers or Trimmers are used at close
proximity with the body – and even while their EMF signature is low, it harms the body because of
the proximity of use.
The placement of the domestic appliances in your home plan is indicated by the blue squares. We
assessed the same by the use of an analogue Trifield 100XE Gaussimeter.
The American Environment Protection Agency recommends EMF exposures no higher than 2-2.5
milliGauss on a continuous basis as a limit for human beings. We have used the following indices
for your EMF measurement.
Borderline Moderately higher than 2.5mG
Unsafe Extremely higher than 2.5mG
Safe Within 2.5mG
Devices
Assessed
Risk level
Reading
Summary
Remark
Laptop with WiFi Within Safe limits The laptop was an old one. But its EMF signatures was within expected limits.
Refrigerator Within Safe limits
Air Conditioner Within Safe limits
Electric Chimney
Borderline Case.
Moderate Risk
In close range, the reading is high. Your Chimney is at 6ft hieght. Even at a 5ft
distance, the EMF exposure is relatively high. We advise maintaining 2ft distance
from the chimney if possible unless unavoidable.
Fuse Box Within Safe limits
CellPhone
Charger
Did not check
Home UPS on Moderate risk.
Proximity to the left headside of the bed increases risk. This is also important
because Gurgaon electricity may not be a very stable one. Fluctuations could
cause EMF outtages.
Smartphone High
On running a YouTube Video - we see extreme high levels of EMF generated. Use
of a Earphone is suggested. Unless important, we would advise you to use a
landline
WiFi Within Safe limits

BRIGHTSANDZ TECHNOLOGIES HOME AUDIT REPORT (+91)9654465443
Closure Remarks
Basis our observations and readings, the following are the findings
1. The combined measured radiation levels are relatively high in your balcony and adjoining
areas in drawing room, kitchen, smaller bedroom and master bedroom.
2. Most of the electric and electronic appliances in your home are within safe and permissible
limits of EMF
3. We perceive minor risk due to the placement of the AC stabilizer to the left side of the bed.
4. We would also suggest you to use precaution in using your smartphone for longer hours
basis its EMF signature.
5. Basis the limited measurements of your society premises, we find certain areas of Premier
Urban Society to have high exposures to EMR from the South-east Telecom tower.
6. However, we advise and insist that there should be no tower installations inside the society
premises.
Suggested Solutions
1. As discussed and agreed between us, we will help in providing you radiation shielding
curtains for your windows.
2. We will also help procuring a dosimeter for your reference.
3. We shall keep you updated on the pricing and availability schedule of the solutions
suggested.

  • 3. 3 BRIGHTSANDZ TECHNOLOGIES HOME AUDIT REPORT (+91)9654465443 Spatial Placement Brightsandz Technologies conducted an assessment of the premises of Mr. Amanjeet Singh residing at Flat no 901, Tower A, Premier Urban Society, Sector 15, Part 2, Gurgaon 122001. The Premier Urban Society apartment is a multistoried apartment which is situated at a recess without any tall concrete buildings in the background. We found 3 mobile telecommunication towers in the North, North West and South East directions of the Premier Urban Society locality. The location of Mr. Amanjeet Singh’s house was facing the south east side, facing a mobile communication tower at a distance of approximately 250 metres from his 9th floor apartment. Devices Used We have used hand held digital Dossimeter (Cornet 78DS) to monitor and assess the radiation microwaves ranging from 100MHz to 8GHz. This includes Radio Frequency from GSM/3G at 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz; CDMA 800MHz; LTE 2300MHz(on trials) and WiFi/WLAN/ Bluetooth frequency bands. For Appliance EMF measurements, we have used hand held analogue Gaussimeter (Trifield 100XE) which measures electrical and magnetic fields. What standards are we following? Indian government, DoT and TRAI has adopted standards specified by ICNIRP guidelines for cell tower radiation. However, the major shortcoming of the ICNIRP standard is that it protects against short term gross heating effects. It doesnot take into account significant biological effects such as oxidative stresses leading to cancer and cell damage from long term microwave radiation exposure. This is the reason why most of the advanced economies have adopted much more stringent radiation norms than those proposed by ICNIRP. Brightsandz follows a far more stringent standard laid out by the BioInitiative report 2007 – which suggest 1 milliWatt/sq. metre outdoor exposure and .1 milliWatt/sq. metre in home exposure. Thus the standards that we follow are as follows Incident Radiation/ EMR Categorization ~.1 mW/sq.m Very Safe .5-1 mW/sq.m Safe Greater than 1 mW/sq.m Risk Significantly greater than 1 mW/sq.m Very High Risk
  • 4. 4 BRIGHTSANDZ TECHNOLOGIES HOME AUDIT REPORT (+91)9654465443 Resident Profile We find that there are 2 members in the family – Mr. Amanjeet Singh and his wife – both of them are in the age group of 25-35 years with sound health. We don’t see any high risk profile member in the family – Infant, 60+ adult or any person with medical condition. EMR: Readings & Summary of Observations The radiation measurement are summarized in Table 1. We had switched of the home mains to reduce the interference from domestic electric and electronic appliances. Sl.no Location Maximum radiation in milliWatt/sq. metre Remarks 1. Ground Floor – Outside lift lobby/ at the garage / Near the lawn 3 mW/sq.m and above This open area is in direct incidence of high radiation. 2. 9th Floor Mezzanine – outside the lift corridor .8mW/sq.m 9th Floor apartment should not be in the direct incidence of cell tower radiation. However, given that the antennas must radiate to higher floors, there is a possibility that few antennas have a positive angle of incidence from the vertical axis. 3. Living Room .5mW/sq.m The EMR at the centre of the room was within recommended limits of exposures. 4. Living Room Balcony 1.2 – 2 mW/sq.m We see risk zone in this part of the house.EMR radiation are is higher than admissible; consistent and continuous exposure could lead to negative biological effects. 5. Living Room (Close to the Balcony) 1.2- 1.7 mW/sq.m As with the high balcony exposure, the immediate area inside the house is also in risk zone. 6. Living Room (WiFi Corner) 2mW/sq.m High incidence from the tower + WiFi radiation make this spot a high risk area. Even if the WiFi is off, one has to negate the effects of the cell phone tower
  • 5. 5 BRIGHTSANDZ TECHNOLOGIES HOME AUDIT REPORT (+91)9654465443 Sl.no Location Maximum radiation in milliWatt/sq. metre Remarks 7. Living Room ( Main door side) .2 - .4 mW/sq.m Safe 8. Living Room (Beside the dinning table) .2 mW/sq.m Safe 9. Living Room (at the bedroom end of dinning area) .5 mW/sq.m Safe. However there is an increase in EMR compared to the north/north west face of the room) 10. Kitchen (Inside) 1 – 1.7mW/sq.m Risk 11. Kitchen (Balcony) 1.7 – 2 mW/sq.m Risk 12. Kitchen (Beside the fridge) .7 mW/sq.m Within recommended limits 13. Small Bedroom (Balcony door) .8 – 1.2 mW/sq.m Risk 14 Small Bedroom (Beside the study table) .5 mW/sq.m Safe. 15. Small Bedroom (Headside on the bed) .1 - .2 mW/sq.m Very Safe. We would advise you to sleep with your head towards this side of the room. 16. Bedroom corridor .23 mW/sq.m Safe 17. Master bedroom (by the balcony) .7 – 1.2 mW/sq.m Risk. 18. Master Bedroom (on the Right hand Headside – by the bathroom) .1 mW/sq.m Very Safe 19. Master Bedroom (by the attached bathroom) .1 mW/sq.m Very Safe 20. Master Bedroom (by the AC) .5mW/sq.m Safe We were not able to measure the bathrooms, but given the axial placements in the tower, we assume that the EMR incidence will not be high. EMR: Home Mapping To give a better representation of the readings, we categorized them under 4 heads – giving them colours to indicate the safety specification. Basis the readings, the following is the “heat map” of EMR incident on your residence. High Risk Risk Ok Safe More than 1.5 mW/sq.m 1 mW/sq.m to 1.5 mW/sq.m .5 mW/sq.m to 1 mW/sq.m Less than .5mW/sq.m

  • 7. 7 BRIGHTSANDZ TECHNOLOGIES HOME AUDIT REPORT (+91)9654465443 Conclusions from the EMR assessment of your home and living premises 1. EMR as a factor has a high correlation with occupancy. Higher occupancy of the building will mean a higher demand on the nearby telecommunication tower. In order to serve the demand spikes, the tower will radiate at higher outputs – leading to higher radiation incidences. 2. Our readings from the ground floor (lawn) – show that the tower is beaming at higher than average power. a. Lawn is an important part of a society living – where young kids and old adults spend their play time and free time. Currently this lawn is not in a healthy state of EMR exposure. It may risk the health of these people – both of who are highly susceptible to EMR based health issues. 3. EMR incidences on the tower D of the Premier Urban Society which is closer to the telecommunication tower will be higher. 4. We expect the radiation to be higher in the middle floors (3rd to 7th floor) of tower A and D, Premier Urban society, which would be in the primary lobe of the incident signal 5. Initially we has assumed that the tower will not cause a high radiation exposure at your residence – because of the distance and the height – thereby falling under a tertiary lobe. a. However, in our observations, we found that your balconies in the 9th floor have high EMR incidence. Consequently part of the kitchen and the drawing room was also is also seen to be at risk. 6. EMR exposure on your bed head sides are less than .5mW/sq.m a. We find that your current sleeping positions are risk free though the left hand side of the master bed has relatively higher EMR exposure. 7. It is important to understand that tower loads peak in the evenings around 9 PM – 11 PM because of a lot of voice and data usage. We have visited your housing complex at a less than average load factor demand. It is likely that the EMR incidences would increase in the evenings. This could lead to higher exposures in the evening.
  • 8. 8 BRIGHTSANDZ TECHNOLOGIES HOME AUDIT REPORT (+91)9654465443 EMF assessment We also assessed the EMF from your domestic appliances. EMF is a natural by product of all systems. The larger the electricity requirement of your appliance, the higher is it EMF signature (eg AC, Invertor, Stabilizer). Magnetic fields are harmful but EMF incidences reduce with increasing distance. Some other appliances such as Hair dryers, Shavers or Trimmers are used at close proximity with the body – and even while their EMF signature is low, it harms the body because of the proximity of use. The placement of the domestic appliances in your home plan is indicated by the blue squares. We assessed the same by the use of an analogue Trifield 100XE Gaussimeter. The American Environment Protection Agency recommends EMF exposures no higher than 2-2.5 milliGauss on a continuous basis as a limit for human beings. We have used the following indices for your EMF measurement. Borderline Moderately higher than 2.5mG Unsafe Extremely higher than 2.5mG Safe Within 2.5mG Devices Assessed Risk level Reading Summary Remark Laptop with WiFi Within Safe limits The laptop was an old one. But its EMF signatures was within expected limits. Refrigerator Within Safe limits Air Conditioner Within Safe limits Electric Chimney Borderline Case. Moderate Risk In close range, the reading is high. Your Chimney is at 6ft hieght. Even at a 5ft distance, the EMF exposure is relatively high. We advise maintaining 2ft distance from the chimney if possible unless unavoidable. Fuse Box Within Safe limits CellPhone Charger Did not check Home UPS on Moderate risk. Proximity to the left headside of the bed increases risk. This is also important because Gurgaon electricity may not be a very stable one. Fluctuations could cause EMF outtages. Smartphone High On running a YouTube Video - we see extreme high levels of EMF generated. Use of a Earphone is suggested. Unless important, we would advise you to use a landline WiFi Within Safe limits
  • 9. 9 BRIGHTSANDZ TECHNOLOGIES HOME AUDIT REPORT (+91)9654465443 Closure Remarks Basis our observations and readings, the following are the findings 1. The combined measured radiation levels are relatively high in your balcony and adjoining areas in drawing room, kitchen, smaller bedroom and master bedroom. 2. Most of the electric and electronic appliances in your home are within safe and permissible limits of EMF 3. We perceive minor risk due to the placement of the AC stabilizer to the left side of the bed. 4. We would also suggest you to use precaution in using your smartphone for longer hours basis its EMF signature. 5. Basis the limited measurements of your society premises, we find certain areas of Premier Urban Society to have high exposures to EMR from the South-east Telecom tower. 6. However, we advise and insist that there should be no tower installations inside the society premises. Suggested Solutions 1. As discussed and agreed between us, we will help in providing you radiation shielding curtains for your windows. 2. We will also help procuring a dosimeter for your reference. 3. We shall keep you updated on the pricing and availability schedule of the solutions suggested.
