Aktion
A Nazi operation involving seeking
out, assembling, shooting, deporting to
labor or death camps that took place in
Jewish villages or ghettos.

A Jewish resistance leader in the Warsaw
Ghetto uprising.

Antisemitism
Dislike or hatred against the Jews

Appell
The roll call of prisoners that could take hours to do.

Canada
The name given to the storage buildings by

German word for “leader” adopted by

A sealed room where many Jews were
killed at once by inhaling gas.

A term used to describe an area which has

Nazi
Name for members of the NSDAP, National
Socialist Democratic Workers Party, who
believed in the idea of Aryan supremacy.

An organized, state-sponsored attack.

SA
Storm troopers, the terrorist branch of the
Nazi army, and the ones who helped Hitler
get to his full power.

Scrip
Paper currency or tokens used as evidence
that the bearer was entitled to receive
something in return.

Swastika
The official symbol of the Nazis.

The first five books of the Hebrew Bible.

Zyklon B
Gas used to kill the Jews in the gas
chambers.
