2. This is going to be the day that I start teaching the children about Outer Space and the Planets I will be using tools like the SMART Board to introduce pictures of the planets Day 2
3. This is a Dr Seuss book that I will be reading to the children This is a good book to use to introduce the planets and get them more familiar with the concept It also will bring about some discussion time There ’s No Place Like Space
4. Mercury is the first planet that we will be looking at I am going over the planets in order from the Sun I will be using the SMART Board along with other resources such as Google Earth Mercury
5. This is the second planet we will be observing We will look at pictures and diagrams on the SMART Board We will also look at some similarities between the two planets we have looked at so far Venus
6. I will be having the students do a scrapbook of all the planets They will color pictures of the planets This will also help them visualize the planets better They will know all the special characteristics that make each planet different Scrapbook
7. I am also having the students make poster board images of the planets This will be the classroom art They will be able to see the planets as we talk to them as well Poster Boards
8. At the end of class we will have a review session of the planets we have talked about This will be a time where students can ask questions if they have any They will also be able to talk about what they like or dislike about each of the planets Review
