Goals and Measurable Objectives This training will improve student learning by exposing them to more authentic audio and video tailored to their needs This training will improve teacher effectiveness by enabling them to modify videos to fit their instruction needs This training will enhance staff intellectual and leadership capacity by giving them the ability to manipulate any audio/video materials they find on the Internet that they deem to be necessary and useful for their students. This way, they will not be limited to what is available at school.
3. Summary of Needs Assessment and Purpose of Training Language instructors are currently limited to audio/video materials that are available at school library. The Internet, on the other hand, has an infinite number of audio/video resources. However, most of these are not in a format or length suitable for use in class. They need to be edited. This training will enable instructors to use a video editing program to turn these videos into a length and format suitable for language teaching in a classroom environment.
