Vancouver native, Daniel Evan White, studied architecture under Arthur Erickson at the University of British Columbia. He worked briefly for Geoff Massey, Erickson's partner, and then moved to Ian Davidson's firm. White left after two years and Davidson, whom had rather, 'wearied of designing palaces for the rich', passed his residential practice over to White.
