➤ The Zika virus disease (otherwise known as Zika), is
spread to people through the bite of an infected
mosquito.
➤ Those who are bitten by a particular type of mosquito
may notice symptoms such as red eyes and joint pain
but having a Zika virus infection during pregnancy may
cause fetal brain and birth defects, according to the
CDC.
➤ This is why women who are pregnant need to be
