This presentation is the second, expanded version of my talk of the same name originally delivered for Pechakucha Night Roanoke in 2014. My goal for the presentation is to share that eating well without animals is not only possible, but it is JOYFUL. My presentation is free of images of animal cruelty, not because i don't care about those things, but because I choose to put forward the positive side of an animal free diet. Strict vegans may find my moderation offensive, but most of the people I know and love are not vegan and I aim for the common ground, not the dividing line. The resignation is lighthearted and humorous throughout and includes recommended cook books, the health benefits I've experienced, and common food situations “veganized.” This is the first in a 4-part series I've developed for the library.
