We started using Social Media from the
beginning:
• To update on Mikes progress
• Communication
• To talk to other Survivors
• To search for TBI information
• To document his recovery
• To search for resources/help
22. Hi Bernadette!
How exciting! As a provider, my only thoughts are that TBI is not really
publicized in media. We need more of an awareness regarding this frequently
occurring and devastating injury. Brain injury awareness month is never
mentioned. Yet we hear about breast cancer in October, heart disease in
February, etc.
I am so glad to hear Mike is doing well. I would love to see him when he is
here in Orlando! I think about all of you every day!
Also, I have been wanting to thank you for my nomination for Nurse of the
Year. It was such a surprise and honor to be recognized. Thank you and Tom
for taking the time and submitting all those kind words.
Good luck at your talk! Keep me posted and tell Mike I look forward to seeing
him soon!
