Waterbased dispersing agent
Dispersing agent for waterbased applications
Benchmark performance for inorganic pigments
Excellent overall performance for organic pigments
Broad compatibility towards different resin systems
Designed with CFRP technology for high efficiency and excellent stability
Suited for paints that are VOC-free1 and/or carry Ecolabels2
Designed for colorants but well suited for direct grinds into primers, gloss and semi
gloss paints and for systems where polyacrylic acid dispersing agents are not
preferred
1 VOC content < 0,1% acc. EU 2004/42 ( b.p. > 250°C) (750 ppm)
2 Compliant with the requirements of the European Ecolabel for “indoor paints and varnishes”
2009/544/EC and for “outdoor paints and varnishes” 2009/543/EC

Dispex® Ultra PX 4575 is based on CFRP technology and a new pigment
stabilizing mechanism that enhances electrosteric stabilization.
CFRP also enables the precise design of the structured polymer to improve
compatibility and stabilizing properties especially for inorganic pigments.

16. Performance tests – Test methods
Test Method
Viscosity / Stability Measurement of viscosity at various shear rates before and after storage at 50°C.
Addition of pigment concentrate to a white (or black) base paint. Application on black
Color strength / Rub-out / Chroma and white card and check rub-out: Measurement by colorimeter. Chroma is the
saturation of a color, the higher the chroma the “cleaner” a color.
Measurement of opacity by light absorption. At a value of 100 all light is absorbed
and coating is completely opaque: The lower the opacity value, the more transparent
Transparency / Opacity
the coating. dE* scattering is a measure of light scattered: The lower the value, the
higher the transparency.
Check influence of dispersing agents on gloss of the tinted paints using a gloss
