1. Rescue Time Data Goals
Nouf Al Dosari
Goals set
When I created my Account in Rescue Time I mentioned what my destracting uses and what my efficiency uses as well. My Goals were to spend a maximum time on my efficiency programmes, the goals were as follow:
GOAL #1: I should spend more than 4.0 hours on average per day on all productive time.GOAL #2: I should spend less than 1.0 hour on average per day on all distracting time.
Inputs interpretation
My efficiency in using the computer is illustrated in the above bar chart, I had spent a good time using my computer in a useful things like writing and doing some assignment on the blackboard or other assignment. I have also a big chunk of neutral of use, this normally reflecting some website and other things I changed before as neutral items, most of them is music in the background or other website that run always in my computer like rescue time. I had notice a good use of the computer while in the weekend I did not use it to much since I been outside most of the time with friends. The last day of the week the average use of the computer was more destructive than productive that had brought my attention to it and I was surprised how I never pay attention to it. comparing myself with other data given in the internet like Delson , it is mentioned that a teenage spend more than 33 hours a week front off his/her computer, this is normally because most of them they don’t have work or duties to do, in my average use of the computer for this week I spent 20 hours use and I got a very good rank in the total users of Rescue time. The good thing is I ranked the 17 of all the users as it’s mentioned in the dashboard.
Transforming outputs to solutions
The report was accurate in its data, I was impressed about the time and how it calculate things; in some times if I don’t use something, it will not count it as used, which is very good to show the real use of the computer to any user. On the other hand, I fund that the data should be converted to solution and practical use. For example my use of the social media is high and should be moderated. However, I have to focus on using my computer on the best way and be more active and productive. It is not hard to do so but with such program it give me the ability to know where I am standing and also can give me my progress in the coming weeks
Bibliography Deleon, N. (2009, feb 10).
