Thank you Mr. Maharasan. Dear Faculty Member and my dear friends. A Very good morning to you all. Its my pleasure and gratitude to be here to share my experiences of I had in software industry for the last 9 years. Well, 9 years back, I was a student sitting like you. When I entered the Alpha college, I was reminded of my college days.. what a wonderful days were they. Our classmates, professors, those early lectures, late lectures, the sports, chit chats in Canteens.. .those are wonderful days. That being said, when I got an invitation to talk to you guys at this valedictory function about two weeks back, I was thinking of what should I talk or present on this day. I had several thoughts - pick up a technical subject and get deeper into it... but then, I had this thinking come up - what will be the advice that I would give to myself if I could meet myself at your age in order to guide the young people to attain or get a promising career in software industry... Thus came this talk - the journey ahead.... my experiences which you guys could probably use as pointers while you move in your career life. I have framed this talk in such a way - it tells what you probably have to do to keep your position in this industry.... Tradition in our society is that the elders would give advice to younger ones - by advice I mean those things the elders dont do but want the younger ones to do....advice is available every where free of cost.... anytime... as its a tradition for elders to give advice.. younger ones also too have a tradition.. do you know what it is .. just not to follow the advice.. I know everybody wont take the advice every time... I dont at least.... This talk is not ADVICE. Its just a list of todo list which you may or may not like it.. a list of todo list which you may or may not use it.... My thought is that you will take away something out of this talk and frame your own rules. Before we begin, if you guys have any questions, you can either stop me in the middle or you can reserve it to the last.. Dont hesitate to ask questions... because there is never a wrong / stupid question.. there can only be stupid answers...
