2. The Carbon Atom All living organisms contain carbon. Carbon is transferred into other living thingsin different ways such as Cellular respiration, sediment, decomposition, sedimentation, photosynthesis, and Combustion.

3. Cellular Respiration The Carbon Molecule gets breathed in by a someone as oxygen and gets breathed out as CO2. Cellular Respiration is the series of metabolic processes by which living cells produce energy through the oxidation of organic substances.

4. Photosynthesis The Carbon Cell gets absorbed out of the atmosphere into a tree by photosynthesis. Photosynthesisis a process that converts carbon dioxide into organic compounds using the energy from sunlight. Photosynthesis occurs in plants, algae, and many species of bacteria,

5. Combustion Oh no! a forest fire burnt down the tree containing the carbon atom. Combustion is the sequence of exothermic chemical reactions between a fuel and an oxidant accompanied by the production of heat and conversion of chemical species.

6. Traveling Carbon The Carbon Molecule gets put back into the atmosphere by the smoke and absorbed by a cloud. It is then attached to a drop of rain and sent to the ocean.

7. Decomposition The Carbon Cell is underwater and Got breathed in by a near by fish. The fish lives a normal and healthy life but later passes away and decomposes. Decomposition is the process of decay caused by bacterial or fungal action

8. Sedimentation The remains of the fish slowly decompose and eventually gets turned into limestone. Sedimentation is a physical water treatment process used to settle out suspended solids in water under the influence of gravity.
